It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Seriously though, its worth waiting until all the facts of the incident are known before commenting too much, but it sounds like a bloke who was trouble has been killed and, tbh, regardless of whether the police are in the right or in the wrong in this incident, I would tend to say that if you play with fire then you get burned. He's going around with a gun- that would suggest to me that he would be prepared to shoot someone if necessary so I struggle to have much (any) sympathy when he is killed himself, if it saves an innocent person from losing a loved one who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time then fine as far as I'm concerned.

There is a lot of scum in this country, there is a growing underclass and it needs to be stamped out. Less of this shite about human rights and such like, if you want to go around acting "gangster" carrying knives and guns and generally posing like Nile fucking Ranger then the police should be taking it upon themselves to knock you into shape. As mentioned earlier in the thread, where are the riots when a young mother or kid is killed by one of these "hard men"?

Its about time people stood up for the country and sorted half of these fuckers out. Oh aye, and scrap benefits for anyone unemployed for over a year, give them vouchers instead that can only be used for certain types of food, if they cant be arsed to work, make them live like a 5 year old kid since they're about as much fucking use

They might have to send the troops in. I think we still have a few of them who aren't busy in other parts of the world. Our government, in it's infinate wisdom, is reducing troop numbers and police numbers. :banghead:

Next city to join in......Liverpool? Manchester? Bristol? They've all got previous. Belfast? Derry/Londonderry?

Going off all over Peckham, Lewisham, Hackney, Deptford, Brixton.

1/4 of Britains police force there now....
Surprised you are not there feeding them their excuses for doing it  Good to see the peaceful, dignified protests of these people - and the TV's being carried on their heads. The police should clamp down on this with force.

Yes, carrying TV's on heads is one of the main sources of head injuries, which cots the NHS millions each year.

Education in this area in vital.

Or a guide to healthy looting.

Kicking off in Bethnal Green, saw hordes of youths all hoodied up steaming up from the station, things being set alight, I think they're joining in with the Hackney lot who seem to be coming down from there towards the middle of Bethnal Green high road!! :?

Troops and a curfew maybe the only way to stop this!!

apparently bricks have been thrown at police in chapel-town and someone has been shot in the face although I dont think it was the police who've done it.

Hope none of my lot gets hurt tonight :(

For a second successive night London’s firefighters were called to deal with fires resulting from public disturbances across the capital.

Between 8pm yesterday evening and 8am this morning the Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 445 calls from members of the public across London.

Fire crews dealt with nine large fires in Edmonton and three in Brixton. The fires caused damage to shops, vehicles and homes. At one incident on Brixton Road six fire engines and around 30 firefighters tackled a blaze in a sportswear shop.

Three fire engines were damaged in the overnight violence. One engine, from Brixton, was at the scene of a fire, while two others from West Norwood and Edmonton were on their way to incidents. No firefighters were injured in the disturbances.

Chairman and Leader of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, Cllr Brian Coleman, said:

“Once again London’s firefighters displayed absolute professionalism in the way they dealt with these incidents.

“It is absolutely outrageous though that three of our fire engines came under attack and had to be taken off the road, making them unavailable for emergencies. There is simply no excuse for this abhorrent behaviour which endangers the lives of firefighters and also the people they are trying to protect.â€

Only way to stop it bring the army in any person seen looting gets shot on site they do it in every other country apart from benefit giving Britian. We are a soft touch to these gangs none of them care they will get a slap on the wrist and be on their way time to get tough on this under class who act like they own the place. Usual methods of Law enforcement will not work time to fight fire with fire.

Spot on!

This is a result of years of weak sentencing, politically correct madness and abused human rights laws. Youths of today get away with murder, no respect for anyone, nothing to fear and this is the result. Well done governments, judges, CPS, politically correct nutters
