Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

People ***** over Walcott being played out of position, - so was Bendtner - take all the sillyness away he is a good striker - Bendtner will be a better central stiker than that twonk Walcott will ever be.
I agree that Bendtner was played out of position and we never got the best out of him but to say Walcott will never be the player of Bendtners standard is ridiculous. Youre hatred of Theo whilst love of similarly ordinary players really grinds
i honestly think nic is a better centreforward than theo walcott will ever be.

walnutt is the better winger, but bendtner has to be a better striker.
Walnut a better winger? He is shite as a winger mate, his only bright times in an Arsenal shirt has been when he has got into the striker position. If he were to be given a run of games there in the right formation i really think we would see a good striker in Theo.... Bendtner i wouldnt trust in a championship team as a striker

Agreed Flash. People always hound Theo but he's still only 22 and has never had a run of games in his prefered position. His job is to either score or set up goals, and he's done that this season despite being off colour.

Walcott gets away with murder at Arsenal. He is not a good winger or wont be a good striker because he hasnt got a football brain.Someone on the radio the other day said when Walcott has to think he doent know what to do.Sums him up.He has been at the club for 5 and a half years yet the old excuse of he's still young is stll being used.Remember Rooney at 22???

Firstly i dont fancy Theo

I agree he hasnt done it at Arsenal yet but then he has been played out of position. Theo is not a winger he is a striker we should play him in his proper positiion and give him a run of games, if he still hasnt done anything then out him.

Also you cant compare him to Rooney, you cant compare anyone to Rooney he is a freak of nature, he looked like a man at 16!! Ian Wright and Thierry Henry werent upto his standard at his age....

ps. Bendtner is still shit 8) :D

theo is english . which is why the crowd will sing his name in support. we need english players to look up too and the crowd are reluctant to give theo the whole eboue/bentdner/chamkah groans when he is bad, which is a lot of the time

and not to go too muck off topic

nicky b is still shit

What's most worrying?

1. Pink boots
2. Lack of shirt
3. Celebrating hat trick

...?
You know what though, in a world where a lot of good players look like Rooney or Tevez (or a dodgy sort of a hobbit thing like Messi and Aguero), isnt it nice to have a striker of genuine class and pedigree who you can look at and say "fuck me, what a body, what a fucking good looking lad". He's like a fine racehorse, not an ounce of fat, just a pure performing machine. Thats probably why Bruce signed him back, he realises his lass is now with a horrible mercenary *word censored* who looks like a gypsy and has come to his senses and realised that even he would be unable to turn down a physical specimen like Bendtner. If he couldnt say no then his daughter can hardly be blamed for doing the same. That fucking body, wow, that lad stays in shape like!
bunch wrote:I hope safcftm is going to keep us updated on the key points of super-Nik's progress:

- boot colours
- hair styles
- night clubs (aka Bendy's benders)
I will indeed, dont you worry about that! Well, thus far he has been very impressive at Sunderland, not a hint of bother. His boots for Chelsea were a rather fetching white colour. He has stayed away from pink boots thus far but I will update you the moment this changes. His hair style is still impressive, he obviously pays a lot to have his hair looking that good, as above its nice to have a quality striker who takes such care over his appearance. As for night clubs, well, all is quiet on that front so far but we have a network of spies who shall update us the moment he goes out in Sunderland (or more likely Newcastle). TBH as long as it isnt within the 48 hours before a match I couldnt care if hes out getting drunk and shagging random women, the boy has a gift and it would be unfair not to use it
