I can't be bothered dealing with cowardly online homophobic abuse from a faceless stranger

simple choice really - I understand people can't really make "him or me" ultimatums, it's not how these boards work.
My perception is this: the mods asked him to calm down.
A respect thread was posted.
They haven't worked, so I'll leave unless he does.

the constant strawman nonsense - making up fictional arguments for others then dismissing them as stupid or gay - is irritating
but the streams of abuse, that in real life could result in nothing but a fight, are way beyond that. They're cowardly and unacceptable.

I have a different view from lots on here - different viewpoints can cause friction. Nonetheless I'm a longtime poster who appreciated some of the banter. I'm sure I've overstepped the mark on occasions.
I'm sure I've made mistakes, said silly things when het up, I regret some (none in arguments with Baba BTW). I apologise, I move on.

I can't deal with this like that. IMO he's just gone much too far.

i wouldn't do this "this ship is too small for both of us" strategy if i were you. and it would be a shame to lose such a good poster who's been here for years because of someone like babatunde.

anyway, it's your decision, but i'd reconsider if i were you. if you start leaving places because of too many *word censored* in there, you'll end up in a desert island.

up the arsenal mate!
