THE FORUM AS IT IS NOW

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

fair enough, but it's all said in jest. If I was that desperate, I would have accepted it when it was offered. I declined then, and would do now.

If I'm annoying anyone, I'll stop. In fact, I will stop. Sorry, I took it too far
Aw go on. Please be a mod. You'd be the bestest mod on here. That wouldn't be hard though.

The vibe of the OG is back. I can just feel it in the last 24 hours. As the droves return, let the fun times roll again.

frank, just out of interest... do you remember the bet we made a few months back when some fans thought we might be relegated?

You bet me £50 that we'd finish outside the top 7

I assume you'll be honouring that come the end of the season?

(ps - what were you thinking?   )

I will of course honour that bet. Either you can have the cash, or if you were feeling generous and was willing to give it to charity.... I am raising money for Disabled Kids by running the London Marathon in April (nothing like some good old-fashioned guilt tripping)....

The link is below, and I did in fact get back from an 18 mile run about 20 minutes ago! It's up to you mate. Happy to give you the cash as a bet's a bet!

email mike.
After pointing out (moaning  ) that recruiting people just because they put their name forward is the wrong approach, it would make me one hell of a hypercritical *word censored* if I now put my name forward as well!

I may be a *word censored*, but I'm not a hypercritical *word censored*!
But are you hypocritical?

I'd be happy to donate the £50 to Whizz kids, frank. :barscarf:

assuming I win the bet, that is!

Now, I see the marathon is before the end of the season, so if we're looking nailed on top 7, you may have to pay out early to make the donation.

Anyway, good luck mate!

I can't do it. I'm not even gonna try. I'd be banned within a week. I swear at people even when I'm not trying to be offensive. I let the boys in my Under 10 team have a good old swear after the match last Sunday when we got robbed by a right homer of a ref. I swear in my inner monologue during the day.

Sorry chaps, but I'm out.

But let me be clear this is not me spitting the dummy and saying what Mike is doing is out of order. I learned a long time ago and have been pretty vocal in the past of supporting his right to do whatever the hell he wants to with this place. It is his baby.

I just know I can't do it.

So best of luck boys. There are some pretty cool cats on here.

Drop me a PM if the swearing ban gets lifted and I'll be back quicker than a mother f*****r. 8)

Sorry mate had to edit out that word. I think the swearing ban is more relaxed than a week ago as certain words have been star'd out there really is no need to stop posting i think most of the regulars are used to it already. Its up to you if you dont want to know anymore and thats fair enough but i do think you'll be missed and for the sake of the odd swear word i dont see the point.....

It's not really the odd swear word for me. I use at least two to describe my new born children to family members.

Plus I like the odd beer or three so I honestly don't think I'd be able to reign it all in. And to be frank I wouldn't really want to.

I've only ever posted on two forums in my whole life. This one and an NFL one for about 4 months. Have a guess why I left that one?

It was the free for all/no holds barred nature that attracted me to this forum in the first place. I kinda guess it outgrew its self and the boss man decided that he had to do what he had to do. Can't argue with that.

I just always saw this place as an extention of the pub.

It feels like it did when they banned smoking down the boozer.
