I still reckon Gazidis said what he said at the start of the summer knowing full well that wenker had little or no intentions of making decent signings. In my mind that was Gazidis making sure that wenker had all the rope he needs to hang himself when it all went south. To get wenger out i reckon failure to qualify for CL and a pasting from the spuds will start the ball rolling, evenm fulham will turn us over at this stage, and Gazidis wont want to lose face and will grow the pair required to give wenker the boot.......well, one can dream!

None of the board (2008) needed to sell shares, as far as I know, none were in financial difficulties?

But they were not getting any younger, and in the absence of younger family members willing to or able to join the board to take over, they appear to have made a collective decision to sell to a wealthier type of owner.

They acted as a "Block", selling to Kroenke after Dein sold to Usmanov.

That hints to me something about the depth of the rift between the board and Dein.

The value of Arsenal FC is 1billion if I'm not mistaken. Kroenke owns 66%, so that's 660m.
Kroenke has 5billion, Usmanov has 17,2b, so why didn't he already offer something like 2billion to Kroenke which would be like a piss in the ocean with that amount of money to buy his shares? Is Kroenke really that stubborn? I mean how long would he had to wait to earn this much if he stays as owner?

That's the way I see it too. All the evidence points to Arsene. In terms of the suarez contract fiasco I think Gazidis and Agent Dick Law are culpable as well.

If only things were that simple !
Would you pay £1000 for a car that was valued at £500 then ?

Usmanov is rich and shrewd ( put aside all the early years shit and accusations re how he got started) because he know the value of a £ $ but also very stubborn and will not 'overpay' especially to someone that he doesn't speak to or swop Valentines Day cards with.

The current value of £1bn based on £15.5k share price is still questionable as artificial in a small / practically non trading market and you could now argue that having waited this long, if Usmanov was to try and bid then he might as well wait until next year when we likely to not be in Europe and be worth significantly less to sponsors.

That aside, SK refuses to speak to Red & White and continues to let it be known, Man Utd /Rooney/Chelsea style and Liverpool/Suarez/Arsenal ish , that he will not sell

SK needs a poisoned brolly poked in him if he ever appears at the Emirates this season

On the contract saga there appears to be a serious disconnect between Wenger and the board .

Quartz etc will find the quote but i'm sure Wenger said somewhere saturday about him and the team of us or something like that on transfer buying and that is the first time it has been brought up.

IG said about the 70m to protect his own arse in June pushing the pressure on Wenger but not just with Suarez but it appears that he has been identifying players but then IG/Dick Law take over in the DD role and thats where it seems to fall down.

I am certainly not an AKB but think too much blame as a % is on AW at present and the others are gettting away lightly.

I have spoken to 3 agents who have had dealings with Dick Law and his name appears to be out of a cartoon but accurate

A proper dick who know fuk all about our laws- who knows his history and cv please, i cant be bothered to even look it up but how and where did he appear on the scene anyway ?

Money talks though and if Uzi bids £2b tomorrow Silent will 100% sell.

Given his resources you or I might do such a thing, but sadly there is no way Usmanov will.

But surely this is Uzi's time to strike. The fans are restless, the board/manager have failed, Uzi has never been presented with a better chance to make his move. In fact he would be seen as a hero if he was to buy Kroenke out right now.

I guess he's probably reluctant to pipe up because if he does the board will make a lot of noise about him being unsettling and use it as a distracting tactic? And he's clearly not willing to pay the price it would take to buy Kroenke out atm.

Maybe that might come down a bit if we get knocked out of CL?

I would agree - unless he is waiting for the turks to maybe knock us out of the champs league, he will never ever get a better chance to buy this club. The club is in total turmoil and the syrup w**nk clearly isnt interested in doing anything to improve the situation so he should make his move now - even we continue down this road then kroenke's share value can only decrease therefore selling now should be his best option. On the flipside there is a chance that things will improve and kroenke's share value will remain as is so if he is biding his time hoping that the value will continue to drop then usmanov will be making a big mistake imo

When we were doing shit a few months ago (following a Swansea defeat I believe?) I remember there being a string of interviews and articles in the press regarding an 'Arab takeover in cahoots with Usmanov' or something to that effect. Usmanov's camp is very opportunistic and if we suffer another loss or two I expect more planted stories in the press.
