Gnabry is wicked?

No he is not. Just another 'young talent' Le Fraud's throwing in to sell us more of the future that never arrives.

LeCoq is shite and gave it away numerous times.

If this is the best we've got coming through we're royally fucked.

Anyway, even IF they turn out quality, they will be sold at the first sign of an incoming bid.

This is not a football club, this is a business run by a French economist, Yank billionaire and his puppet.

not denying for a second we were dreadful today

I did see some positives in Gnabry's confidence on the ball, positivity and general demeanour,
I felt he looked a player.
Way out prediction for the night: I think he will score in every competition this season.

Coquelin won the ball a lot, I think that alone puts him ahead of Rambo who is woefully woefully out of form.

Do we just send Santos back to Turkey and buy Baines?

Agreed. In terms of the blame league table

1. Abou Diaby - whether he plays or not
2. The lack of financial fair play
3. The ref
4. The 4th official
5. The international break
6. The fixture schedulers
7. The volcanic ash cloud
8. Global warming
9. Rising energy bills
10. Obesity

Arsene is next in line after that
Love it ! Could I have your [TM] copy for that?!

Cheers,
Thomas

Hi Tomas. Just about everything went wrong mate - we had one single shot that their keeper had to save which came from our 17 year old substitute after 93 minutes when half the people had left the ground

Watching Arsenal v Schalke, was a bit like watching England play against Spain, Holland or Germany - camped in our own half, unable to make more than 3 consecutive passes (or more than 1 if Ramsey or Coquelin got the ball), trying like mad to cling to a 0-0 draw before inevitable defeat to late goals.

This current Arsenal team has no defensive spine - we have a 6'6" (sorry I don't know what that is in centimetres....but you know who I'm talking about) centre half who refuses to jump, his 5'11" partner diving into tackles like a Sunday morning pub league player, a left back who was covered in sweat after 20 minutes and looks about as fit as I do rolling out of the curry house on a Friday night, and a promising kid at right back that will be our new regular once Sagna is sold

In midfield we have the Welsh Carlton Palmer when it comes to guile and ball retention, and we have Arteta and Cazorla as our rays of lights, the former being held back from his natural attacking instincts because we refused to buy a replacement for Song in the Summer, and the latter day-tripping here until a big club comes along and snaps him up

Podolski has lost all his form in the last 2 games, Walcott is injured and wants to leave anyway, so we are left with the choice from the dynamic duo up front of the Camel and the worst French centre forward since Stephane Guivarc'h dicked around at Newcastle for a few months

Oh, and in Mannone we have a goalkeeper that if he'd been born in San Marino would still struggle to make their squad

Other than that, we've had an excellent start to the season and the man who has worked in football for 30 years and is the coach of the decade thinks we have great potential with this squad

But we have a good bank balance and Gnabry might make us a packet in a couple of years.

Ten hours later and it is still hard to put into words how low I am feeling right now - dont get me wrong I still dont give a flying fcuk about the champs league and would rather we finish bottom of our group but at the same time we are threading water as a club and the really distressing part is that there is nothing on the horizon that makes me believe that we can make this club great again  People talk about the need for a top quality striker and that is fair enough but, and I am being honest here, I would rather get shot of wenger than sign messi

I see tv5 is having a go at how we are creating fcuk all in the last two games but maybe, in his roll of captain, he should start focusing on how absolute shit we look at the back  Defensively, as a unit, we have lookd far more vunerable since he returned to the team and I repeat that if I was picking this team he would either be left back or not in the team at all as the mertesacker and kos partnership was streets ahead of tv5 and either of the other two.

The only entertaining thing last night was the chat I had with Sami for the duration....! Thanks mate. Made the game go so much quicker!

As for the match itself though, I did comment at one stage that I was disappointed with Schalke..... I kind of expected to lose last night - didn't we all - but the game itself had 0-0 written all over it until late on. Both teams were extremely poor. They won it of course, but I think it's entirely possible that we could do the same to them in two weeks time.

I was also a little disappointed with the Schalke fans. Lots of obedient/orchestrated movement. Like some sort of large scale exercise class.... I could almost picture Davina McCall at the front telling them to put their hands in the air.....now sway....!! For all that though they were very quiet - not as quiet as us of course, but quiet all the same! Thought Dortmund and Marseille were noisier last season.

was disappointed with our inability to create chances - attribute that to Schalke's brilliant defending from the front
Holtby must have 4 lungs. I thought Schalke's work-rate was amazing, bit harsh to criticise them at all.

Santos and Rambo basically should go the way of Manuel and Eduardo now
nice guys, thanks for trying, sorry you didn't make it - good luck in your future careers.

sorry but I'd rather see Gibbs, Sagna, Jenkinson, Miquel, Yennaris or Mead at left back than our 'cuddly maverick' Brazilian

for me ahead of Rambo in the middle - Arteta, Cazorla, Wilshere, Rosicky, Diaby, Ox, leCoq, Frimpong and Yennaris.

I think it's too late for loans - lets see if we can get transfer fees for those two, accept low offers.
Guess it's whats been said about Denilson, Bendtner, Chamakh, Squillaci and Arshavin for a while now...

Squad need a fundamental remodelling.

Schalke were extremely 'poor'? :? :? If controlling most of a match away from home, creating numerous chances and missing some very good ones, while restricting your opponents to just one shot which doesn't come until the 94th minute is poor, then I fecking wish we'd be that 'poor' a lot more often!!  :banghead: :banghead:

I think the point made is that they weren't great last night rather we plumbed the depths to make them look good and allowed them to dominate.
