As he did against Newcastle a few times instead of closing the man down on the touchline where if he fouls or gets skinned it's unlikely to be too costly, he backed off and backed off and the bloke was able to cross the ball from the corner of the box without even skinning anyone. If he then puts a good ball in it makes it very difficult to defend.
Funny you should say that but I remember a few years ago when we were going for the league we lost away to dirty Leeds in exactly the same circumstances - they scored a late winner when one of their cuntbag players (could have been hasslebank ) got across vivas at the back post (yeah vivas was playing left full ) to score from a right wing cross. After the game wenker publicly blamed vivas which I felt was bang out of order especially as his international right full (Dixon) was backpeddling at some pace and allowed them to cross it in the first place and a player of his experience should know that supply has to be cut out at source Sad to say that defeat cost us the league (think that was the night o'leary gave it the big me on the pitch at final whistle )

Really......what was the score when manure played reading a couple of weeks ago

Beck you're confusing opinion and reality
its only your opinion all those things happened, statistics and events are just twisted propaganda
you can prove anything with history
reality is Giroud is worstest player ever
because posters on here and/or Adrian Durham say so...

Giroud has some spectacularly bad games but he's not as bad as some on here think (don't know what Durham thinks, I don't pollute my ears with crap from bitter c**tbags on Talksh**e) but he's not a prolific scorer. I do wonder what he would be like if we were as creative as we used to be.
The most I think we will ever get from him is 15-20 goals a season max, but not a bad return.

that was a far better performance from reading that day, against us on saturday they were as bad as anything ever seen at the emirates,a really good side would have murdered them,my point being we are so wasteful and inept in the final third at times

Giroud only played well in the games he played well in
in the games he didn't play well apparently he didn't play well
wow
blinding us with science here... thanks for the clarification
how do you think vanStaplecunt has played this year BTW
Just because you didn't score, doesn't mean you haven't played well. Likewise, just because you scored a goal, it doesn't necessarily mean you had a good game. HOWEVER, when you are a striker you are judged by the amount of goals you score and the matches in which you produce the goods. Giroud is doing relatively okay on the first point but has struggled on the second.
Will he get better next season? You'd like to think so, but there is no hiding from the fact that he has major weaknesses and the abilities he does possess are unlikely to lift us up to the higher level we aspire to be competing at.
I do have a caveat: and that is that a change in system and playing with a partner up front might produce more output from his strengths and may result in more appreciation for what he does/could contribute, as opposed to the current system which just exposes the many deficits in his game.
