I can see you and I are going to get on like a house on fire....btw here's some petrol and a match.
Any man who likes poetry, I can't see me having much in common with him.
Don't worry, he'll be telling you to burn in hell next. That's his style. He also makes contributions such as this:

"She was a dishonest evil bitch and I really was disappointed the day the IRA missed her in the hotel in Brighton".

You could never match his levels of intelligent and educated debate.

There speaks - at least I think that's what you're trying to do - someone who is an un-realised Stoke Fan.

:D

that's unfair TM.
I can vouch for OBG, he sometimes has to appeal to the lowest common denominator, for some AKB's to understand his point.
Maybe you should try and read some of his other posts on less trivial matters.

:box:
His posts on this subject have been vile and offensive. Not just about someone who passed away but about fellow members of this forum. Totally unnecessary to make his point in the way he has - and he does himself a disservice too if I am to believe what you say about him. I have read other contributions from him many times and agree with much of what he says but this has been totally unnecessary bile.

Well, it could be worse I suppose.
Imagine he was a Liverpool supporter and a hypocrite to boot?
Anniversary tomorrow and all that?

[Message from Mods]

This is a locked thread.

If people want to continue to provoke other Forum members they should think carefully about it.

Arguments spin out of control on here, we allow them a bit of breathing space and issue a polite request to tone it down.

If they carry on as personal abuse we delete posts or lock threads.

We let people vent on this thread, things got heated, but enough is enough!

The people involved know who they are, a polite request to them to keep it civil on the rest of the Forum and as far anything to do with Thatcher, let it go.
Please do not carry it over to other threads.

Well played, Quartz. 8)

Not much I want or need to add to the above, except to remind everyone that we all (mods and forum users) have a responsibility to be well... responsible. The owners shut us down before because things like personal abuse had gotten out of hand, and we mods have been instructed to keep a tighter eye on this type of thing. We try to let minor rows/slanging matches sort themselves (and most do) but if they become overly abusive then we have got to act. We don't want to be deleting posts/threads and we don't want to be warning/banning people. But we rely on you all to act like adults as much as possible, because I get the the feeling if things spiral again and the owners are forced to close us down again, we won't be re-opening at all.
