WHAM - this (Last) Christmas

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And consistency is all I am advocating - if people stood up for giroud after scoring 2 goals like wally did then I would say fair enough but that would not have happened. Mind you for what it is worth, scoring 2 goals today wouldn't have redeemed giroud in my eyes either

Seriously there are a couple of people on here that need to sort themselves out. One in particular takes great delight in anything that the team and individuals do wrong. It just makes them look a bellend when the team turns the game round. Looks like trolling to me - if not I would suggest they don't entrench themselves in such a position they feel they can't be positive when someone they hate puts in a decent performance. As for Giroud, he looks knackered and is not playing particularly well, however that does not make him a donkey, Lee Chapman and least of all a useless c***! We will need him up in Newcastle because his hold up play is a lot better than Bendtner's.

I think some people are a bit over sensitive re missed chances be it wally or Giroud.

The problem is that we create so few....

It's ironic that once again that an unplanned tactical change forces Wenger to play one of our best. Players in his best position.

Hopefully Caz will get a run in the centre though I'm sure le professor is itching to get jack in their and Caz back out wide.

good point. when we struggle (this year at least) it's in the final 3rd trying to ticky tacky with 13 one touch passed before we shoot.

To be fair I would worry if we played Cazorla in the middle from the start against Newcastle. I would play both Arteta and Flamini in the middle with a three ahead of Walcott Wilshere and Cazorla. When the tackles are flying around in the first 20 minutes you need to earn the right to play. Cazorla looked great because he had the space to play in as the pace had dropped a bit.

Id agree that carzola would need some tacklers next to him so he can play just ahead of arteta and flamini

I do actually.

Just because I don't post, it doesn't mean I haven't read the forum regularly for the last 7 or 8 years. I don't feel the need to make an arse of myself every 20 minutes on here like some.

Just because you've posted thousands of entries doesn't mean you are more qualified to have an opinion.

That's like saying because I go to more games than you you're views aren't as valid.

True but (a) he is wasted on the wing (b) he is not a winger and leaves the team unbalanced when he plays there (c) similar to rosicky, he tries to inject tempo/pace into our play when he gets possession

Never said that you aint entitled to an opinion or that you not allowed to express it but I absolutely don't believe that you have earned the right to label someone who has over 15k of posts as being a troll. I have zero problem with you disagreeing with my opinions but do so on the basis that you believe them to be incorrect and not because you see the poster as being a troll for having an opinion that differs from your own

It is quite interesting that you assume he is talking about you. Or maybe it's only interesting because I'm in the midst of celebratory boxing day drinks :barscarf:

I suggest you go back and look at my comments, I didn't specifically call anyone out as a troll. You seem to think I've accused you - which I haven't. Perhaps troll is the wrong word for someone that takes more delight in seeing there own view being proved right even if it is at the expense of the team. Maybe it is not done just to get a reaction our of people (which I believe is the actual definition). From the chats on this timeline there is one person that stands out a mile, and has consistently done so all season.
