Re: FA Cup Final - Arsenal vs Hull
Think we have discussed everything to death now, earlier this week I was confident that we would win. Now I am starting to feel nervous, roll on Saturday it cant come soon enough.
Re: FA Cup Final - Arsenal vs Hull
Every time I feel nervous, which is often, or I remember Birmingham (often, again) I think of Ramsey. I think he could make the difference.
Maybe.
Maybe.

Would be nice to have a special moment to cap it off tbh, we have several iconic moments down the years like the charlie george thunderbolt to the "its only ray parlour" moment.afcforever wrote:Will take any kind of win
Perhaps Ramsey scores another thunderbolt volley? Yes please!

I too have a sneaky feeling this is gonna be 1-0 with a Ramsey special to win it!

What could possibly go wrong...

Re: FA Cup Final - Arsenal vs Hull
I'm pretty sure there's a Hull City one kicking around but that doesn't fit in with the theme of the week from which is that, oh we think we've won it already,we just have to turn up.Dan_85 wrote:What could possibly go wrong...![]()

Agreed - in the old days it was Ok just to decide to have a parade, let people scale lamposts and hang off roofs etc...
These days I would imagine no planning = no parade and as has been said, I'd imagine in an old man's shed somewhere there will be a minging Hull version (with those flap down metal ashtrays and mottled yellow / brown covered seats)...
That said... you would think with our imagination and resources we could have a) hired somewhere a little more discrete for the "hope we get to use it bus"; and b) saved the paint job until Saturday evening if the need arises??

This is asking for trouble ffs. We will be a laughing stock if we don't wintopgoon wrote:I'm pretty sure there's a Hull City one kicking around but that doesn't fit in with the theme of the week from which is that, oh we think we've won it already,we just have to turn up.Dan_85 wrote:What could possibly go wrong...![]()

Luckily for them they don't live in a city with fans of 5 other rivals looking to take pot shots and that's not mentioning the plastic fans of victims and manure all living in London.Gus Caesar wrote:Agreed - in the old days it was Ok just to decide to have a parade, let people scale lamposts and hang off roofs etc...

Despite what Turricaned might think, I believe there is a genuine wish to see us fall flat on our faces. For journos, there is no fun in a headline that says Arsenal end trophy drought. They prefer, little Hull city shoot down gunners. They want to see the blood letting that might follow. Never mind that "little old Hull city" are bankrolled by a multimillionaire.
Hope the team are using this deliberate negative coverage as a spur to ram this sh*t down the throat of everyone come Saturday night.

Re: FA Cup Final - Arsenal vs Hull
No it's not, there is a scummy yellow and black one in dingy Humberside, just these f**kers don't have any rival fans with smartphones hanging around outside a bus garage.nut flush gooner wrote:This is asking for trouble ffs. We haven't won sh*t in nearly 10yrs, we pay the most expensive season ticket prices in World sport only to collapse every March, our medical team has skills that make Dr Shipman look like Florence Nightingale, We get stripped bare of all our decent players who all have won more trophies since they left us, our manager can't even put on a f**king coat properly and yet you think a bus in a garage is what will make us a laughing stock
