Do we toss out away fans with their club's shirt on who are sitting with home fans? Only corollary I can think of.clockender1 wrote:i wonder if they could chuck you out for wearing these :

With hindsight, it would be interesting to see where we would be now, had Gibbs not made that headed clearance in the cup final. Would we even need this thread or would the old fucker have fucked off.

i dont think that it would have made the slightest difference - he STILL would have signed and been allowed to by the boardgoonersid wrote:With hindsight, it would be interesting to see where we would be now, had Gibbs not made that headed clearance in the cup final. as an Arsenal supporter I do not regret us winning the Cup at all.
whatever the circumstances it was still one of the highlights of my 30+ years supporting the Arsenal.

I'm 100% with you on that Sid - winning the cup refueled the akb and gave them something to cling onto, but if we had of lost the cup final versus hull (not close to being a big club) then I think the outcry to get rid would have won the day. Instead of thousands of happy faces turning out for a victory parade, we would have had many more thousands enraged and with le cocks contract having expired it would have been easy to say goodbye

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
i think that the T shirts are a good idea but that the A4 placards are not really going to work apart from being stuck on walls etc.
they are too small to be picked up by the TV, press.
thing is though what are the stewards going to do to anyone wearing one of these? ask them to leave or to take it off?
if the latter that is going to cause even more interesting scenes! maybe all young women going to Arsenal could wear one of these to games

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
I'm going to be printing out some A4 sheets and leaving them on every 2nd/3rd seat for the Southampton game next week.
I've all ready looked into it and the stewards can't throw me out for doing it, all they can do is confiscate the sheets and if I'm covert enough in how I do it, even that won't be necessary.
I'll probably post what I intend to include on the sheet here beforehand just to get some feedback, but in the meantime does anyone have anything they think is particularly important/pertinent to include?
And ideally what sort of blocks would be the best area to do this?

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
sorry to be a bit of a killjoy but it is hardly practical to just waltz into the stadium and put Wenger out A4 sheets on every seat is it?
think it would be a decent idea if enough of us stuck these sheets on the walls in and outside the stadium though.
ok a lot would be taken down straight away but if there were several thousand being put up...

The walls idea did cross my mind, but I reckon that'd be easier for the stewards to prevent because there is a much bigger presence in the interior of the stadium prior to the match, as opposed to a maximum of two stewards per block for the actual seats and also, they might find it a lot easier to throw you out for 'defacing' the stadium whereas if you don't stick the sheets to anything then whilst they can take them away, they can't ban/eject you.
Just an idea at this stage though, feel like I need to do something and the protest outside the armoury will never attract more than a hundred or so.

Somehow dont take them in to the ground in a bag. It will be searched!

I'll think you'll find a lot of the players families sit in the boxes above that area, but never let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy, eh?
And an equally bizarre defense![]()
I'm not saying that it is a conspiracy or anything like that, but what I am saying is that it isnt coincidental that our players run to that corner to celebrate. A lot of clubs have area's of their own ground (the victims have the kop and manure have the stretford end for example) where the players like to gain favour by celebrating goals in front of those fans, and what I am suggesting is that, whether by accident or not, redaction and that area have been championed as our "kop"Is it unreasonable to question whether the relationship redaction have with the club is having an influence on that perception ? Do you dispute that redaction have a cosy relationship with the club in comparison to what the likes of BSM have ?
Nah, this is bullshit ; you want the manager sacked so you are somehow trying to blame other fans, and in turn try to turn other supporters against them at the same time with your insane conspiracies. I can't comment on what relationship BSM have with the club, but REDaction's didn't seem too cosy when I had my ST confiscated for two games and all Club level access revoked following the 'PETIT PUTE' Nasri banner a few years ago. This was after we got off with a warning following '50 YEARS OF FAILURE' at the derby match.

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
if it works this week then I will have a go at doing something similar for Southampton next week.
havent got a ticket for tomorrow - can't face going more than about once a month at the moment.

Personally I think its an excellent idea, you definately wont be searched if you wear a largish jacket and put them in inside pockets.Rosicky's Right Boot wrote:Just a few hundred mate, can't afford the ink for 60,000.Gunner Rob wrote:sorry to be a bit of a killjoy but it is hardly practical to just waltz into the stadium and put Wenger out A4 sheets on every seat is it?

But practically the seats tip up and so many will disapear if you are not careful. If you put them on seats even up to 25 mins before the match the stadium will be pretty empty. Maybe a few mates can help

Alternatively away matches maybe a better bet, no stewards to patrol it all, and the cameras would zoom in on fewer fans perhaps though the spectacle of fights between AKB and WOBs away isnt a good thought
