The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

Not 100% sure but wasn't there some interest on here for Martinez. :rubchin:

Said at the time that I didn't know enough about Martinez to make a definitive opinion on him, but how good would he need to be to score from even half the chances wally wasted yesterday ? I honestly don't think that we would have to go very high to upgrade our strike force cos giroud and wally are ok, but neither are good enough - problem is that we shouldn't settle an a player who is just an improvement but should be buying top quality :(
That being said, henry was bought after a failed stint in Italy so lets not write off Martinez yet - apparently he hasn't settled at all in spain, and if so that could affect his on pitch performances

If he moved across the border from Portugal to Spain and isn't settled what are the chances he would settle in London.

Absolutely agree with you mc - I'm not advocating that we should buy him, but am merely suggesting that there might be reasons other than a lack of talent explaining why his transfer to ath Madrid isn't working out

Maybe ,just he was being bigged up by some posters, and yet no other big clubs seemed interested in him,but like someone posted earlier he might have taken some of those chances that ozil put up on a plate last night.

£60,000 a week to a player who has proved nothing yet? Only a madman like TOF could persist with his insane 'Socialist Wage Policy', which means we couldn't shift shite like Denilson, Diaby, Almunia, Bendtner, Squillaci, et al. I wonder how much he fucking pays the tea lady?

Hardly any of these fucking wasters - apart from a certain few - deserve to be on any more than £20K a week until they win the PL or CL. We sure as fuck shouldn't be paying anyone in our shite youth team more than a couple of grand a week. Look how money corrupts them all and makes them think they are Bertie Big Bollocks when they haven't proved a fucking thing yet when it comes to winning things.

To see all that money in undeserved wages pissed down the drain by our overpaid fraud of a manager whilst the fans are being mercilessly fleeced really takes the piss. It's criminal.

Welcome to the Arsenal PLC Charitable Foundation, throwing outrageous money at average footballers.

Giroud is reputed to be on 130k a week. Would any other club in the world honestly pay him HALF that much?

Ighalo was at Granada until the puppet masters that own Udinese, Watford and Granada decided to move him. He did well in a mediocre team in Spain and is doing well at Watford, and I'm not sure there's much to choose between him and Martinez at the moment.

The bloke hasn't signed yet, but 'somebody' is reporting his salary as 60k. Until we know who, we should probably save our indignation for something we have evidence for.

Bargain basement buy yet again! Does anyone know if AW has shares in the club as he seems to want to protect the shares dividend no matter what :banghead:

To be honest i'd rather stick with Famini as at least i know how much he is worth to us, legendary mercenary that he is he's been a lot more disciplined in games recently, not that that says much :rubchin:
