I think he's one of those players some people love to hate. A bit like Walcott.

Considering Ramsey is coming back from an injury layoff, I thought he did well. Tried hard, plenty of energy, always available, making runs and wanting the ball. Yeah, he missed chances and his passing was mixed but he kept going and finally got his goal.

I think Ramsey has a cracking attitude and I'm pleased he scored.

Not a great performance by Arsenal and Sunderland had chances!!!! but the result is the main thing. We're clearly low on confidence and finding a new team dynamic without Sanchez/Coquelin/Cazorla, so I wasn't expecting a silky performance. I was expecting a win and we managed it (just).

Great set of results too with Citeh losing and United/Sp*rs drawing. :barscarf:

That is the fundamental difference for me - ramsey works hard and seems to be a humble hard working guy who tries to put the team first 8) Wally seems to be full of his own importance (ironic cos he doesn't perform anywhere near the level required to justify it  ) and he always seems to be more concerned with his international prospects than he does with anything to do with our club

He is horribly inconsistent but there is no doubt we are more dynamic with him in the team. One of the tiny minority in the squad with a footballing brain.

Hold my hands up, Arsene has proven me wrong with that win today against a top class side.
Leicester are top of the league, and one of the most average Arsenal sides I've ever seen is close behind in 2nd.

Thought that despite being wasteful and making some bizarre decisions in good positions, Ramsey added tempo and drove forward well. Would have been completely insipid without him.

Was a decent game for Ramsey considering it's the first game back, and he'll probably go down injured again anyway by January. 1 goal, 1 assist and should've been 2.

I thought apart from Ozil and Cech everyone was average. The problem comes back to squad depth - we are forced to put players coming back from injury straight back in the team. The Ox was average, as was Ramsey - both of them should be on the bench and feeling their way back into form. No doubt this is AW's fault for not adding to the squad and for letting loyalty get in the way of saying goodbye to injury prone players like Arteta and Rosicky. AW for all the criticism of his tactical ability did get the subs right however. Bringing on Gibbs and Chambers did provide more support for the full backs (especially Bellerin who was caught out on a few occasions).
On another note while he has a shocking lack of mental fortitude Giroud appears to be getting completely the wrong type of service. The blokes biggest strength is his heading ability and we managed one decent cross in the air all game. Surely the tippy tippy passing could occasionally make way for a quick cross into the box?

Average is incredibly generous for Ox. He gets worse every game which is such a shame as for all the media wankathon about the likes of Stones, Smalling, Jones, Barkley, Wilshere etc, Ox is a player who could genuinely become devastatingly good. All the key components are there but it's just looking less and less likely to come to fruition. What a waste.

Funnily enough arguably the worst side in the league didn't come and dominate us in the middle of the park so people are more concerned about our woeful set piece defending and creating relatively few clear-cut chances rather than a comfortable performance of no note from Flamini.

Flamini was fine, nothing good or bad.

I am far from a Ramsey fan as I've made my feelings on him known, but he played well enough to avoid any bashing. Ozil was clearly on another level from anyone else on the pitch. Really liking Monreal but Bellerin is on a steep decline right now.

I like Flamini, ive always been a fan unlike most but the bloke needs to stop bombing forward ffs,hes supposed to be a DM not an attacking mid,he keeps on leaving us short in the middle, sunderland were pissing through us yesterday and the defence had no protection at all,he needs a re-brief on his role

Bellerin got caught out a few times yesterday and was all at sea when his winger was slipped in behind him and should have equalised.

To be honest you are going to get blips like that with any young fullback, but it is a worry that modern day Arsenal is hardly the best learning environment for a young defender.
