Trouble is in the mind of many supporters (particularly the younger ones it seems), criticising the manager is somehow akin to not supporting the team, or being "disloyal". When you then start talking about the owner using the club as a cash cow who isn't interested in actually winning trophies as long as his investment is profitable (ie, until now top 4 and a full stadium), their eyes just glaze over.
They just like buying the replica shirts and going to the odd game and the braindead commentators tend to pander to this market rather than that of the informed fan, as the replica buying loyal superfan is where the money is at.

Not sure what people were expecting. It was never going to be 40,000 holding up placards. It was still an impressive show. Also pretty inevitable that the AKBs would strike up a chorus of to1aw.
Come on Ireland. AKA Norwich.

I think that it is pretty apparent that the reason that we aren't blowing them out 4-0 right now is because of those bastards at the Emirates. It's just so obvious to me.

SkySports are clearly colluding with the establishment. Fuck these fuckers. There was plently of people but the imbecile commentator was deluded if he thought all the fans would be protesting with signs.northbank123 wrote:The one semi-sweep they did there looked like a lot of placards.
However thre commentators were amused because it wasn't a full protest - as though people were expecting 50000+ fans to join in. Sky underplayed it before, during and added in a dose of "be careful what you wish for". Watching some of our mongs in the crowd sickens me.
Not like there's anything worth watching on the pitch. Dire.

Utterly moronic commentators ... I thought there were a fair number of protest cards. Not everyone who didnt have one is automatically backing Wenger you fucking pricks.
And who the fuck is Andy 'be careful what you wish for' Hinchcliffe ? I cannot remember a single thing about him as a player. Thats what a complete nonentity he is.
As for the One Arsene Wenger chant, we are still followed by a very sizeable number of braiwashed c-nts. Thats why being at the Emirates is so unbearable depressing.

It's the football version of Stockholm syndrome

They are the reason why sacrificing season tickets to these c.unts is more harmful to our hopes of ridding the club of the French b*stard

It does make you wonder if we are now just another London Tourist attraction rather than a Football Club. So many 'old school' fans I know can't afford to go anymore, and the Johnny Come Latelys, and tourists are maybe becoming the Majority? Was the move to the Shamirates really worth it? All ready sad, the death of a Football Club.

When he started Giroud, you could guarantee that we were going to plod about, so in effect, Wenger has done us a favour.

Fuck, winning is secondary...Robin_L wrote:Commentators really have laughed off that protest.
Massive chorus of "There's Only One......" as well, shows that the AKB are unfortunately still the dominant proportion, I really thought the pendulum was starting to swing the other way.
I think most of the fanbase are happy on a matchday just to see some intricate passing about , trophies are secondary.

Did you see the couple of young lads right at the back of the stand with their 'Arsene will always know more than you' banner?
Yeah very brave gesturing at fans when you're behind them all you fucking pricks.

THIS. Don't get disheartened, we shouldn't give up. Otherwise we're looking at 2020.Chippy wrote:Not sure what people were expecting. It was never going to be 40,000 holding up placards. It was still an impressive show. Also pretty inevitable that the AKBs would strike up a chorus of to1aw.

Plenty of WOBs won't go to games anyway, people turning up just to show their frustrations is good.
There's only one Arsene Wenger was a bit unnerving though.
