Protest Saturday

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

These are the guys who are to be congratulated.
Redsenga and NickF off this forum who had been planning this for weeks only to have it hijacked and sabotaged by those fuckin arsehole fangroups.

The plan was always to raise our banners at 90mins when the tourists etc had left and the only thing for the cameras was us. They stuck to the plan but had it sabotaged by self-serving #flipflopping c unts

Take a bow lads.......

The BBC website is giving decent coverage to the protest.

Happy we got our message across and I mean OUR message and not that thing planned by people on Twitter (there's a right few on there pretending to be ITK getting their faces on interviews  ). It was embarrassing that the social media protest took over and flopped badly thus taking the sting out of it all.

The media really piss me off about all of this, they take the piss out of Arsenal and highlight Arsenal' persistent failures but when it comes to the fans actually gaining a voice it is classed as pathetic and belittled. I'm absolutely unsure why the media are so scared of speaking against Wenger.

The way I see it, today was the final nail in the coffin. I think we are actually fucked and today was the day that ensured we're going to be tuck with Wenger until he decides to go and he will pick his replacement and I genuinely believe our next manager will be deliberately shit or sabotaged to spite us.

Buckle up boys, next year we'll be lucky to get into the top 8/

As soon as I heard those fangroups were planning something I smelt a rat.

Now they're posting pics on social media, selfies with their "fans"

Yeah, quite a few self centered knob heads who do nothing but support a football team and that's their claim to fame.

Who were the fucking mongs out front with the memories banner singing about Wenger dying in May? That shit has done more harm to "the cause" than a million banners inside the ground could ever have done to aid it.

Fuck sake lads :banghead:

Well that's blown my mind.
MoD, Everton vs Bournemouth, they show about 25 fans with banners, protesting against Martinez - Jermaine
J' anus says he can understand where they are coming from. After just 2 years.

They weren't nearly as 'understanding' of the Arsenal protests mind. Thousands of empty seats ignored and dismissive of the large amount of people waving banners. Fucking bizarre. :cussing: :cussing:

Agree mate. It has always been the plan to raise the banners after the match so we can't be accused of not supporting the team. These idiots come along and ruin everything we have done.

Genuinely couldn't believe how desperate Sky were to dismiss it. One commentator said it was a failure because it wasn't a majority - as though anything less than 30,000 fans holding up placards/banners is meaningless. Remember what a fuss they made about a few United fans apparently hiring a plane to fly a Moyes Out banner? They wouldn't be dismissive if there were so many banners/signs held out at United - but then again they don't like van Gaal.

That smarmy fucking toe rag Redknapp afterwards was being a typically myopic and condescending wanker. Speaks about the fans like compete mugs - which frankly is true given the choruses of there's only one Arsene Wenger. How can people part with the best part of a grand and a half to watch the same capitulation and complete garbage football and still behave like Kim Jong-Il is our manager?

Who are all these Johnny come lately fans who have got this absurd idea that you can't express any negativity towards the manager or team? How do they think people behaved on the terraces towards the likes of Stewart Houston?

We deserve to have another decade of Wenger.

Well done lads on keeping to the plan despite the celebrity wannabee twitter "fans" hijacking and demeaning all that we've achieved up until today.

What kind of stupin c unt thinks that with a stadium of 60,000 seats, a couple hundred little cards held up around the place is gonna look anything other than pathetic?

Jesus wept. The more I think about it the more I reckon the whole thing is sabotage

NBC sports coverage of the protest was beautiful. They talked it up for several minutes and then basically showed people holding signs for a solid minute (since we weren't busy on the field or anything). Then Lee Dixon talked for a few minutes about why the fans are upset with a decade of falling short. And of all years this year when Leicester city will most likely wrap it up tomorrow
