Injuries

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

See Mr Tierney is injured again at Real Sociedad, and yet some on here maintain we shouldn't have sent him out on loan because he was our only proper LB.
Honestly, I'm not sure anyone still thinks that. At the time, yes. But now? Unlikely. :rubchin:

Up there with Diaby for me now is Tierney. You posted that he was crocked back in April. He managed to get fit for the Euros , played 2 games and gets crocked again.

Can’t offload him now before the window closes and even if he was fit not even the most mental club would roll the dice on him. Disaster signing.

Contract terminated or loaned out? Still has 2 years left on his contract as far as I can see. If there was any kind of bid I’d let him go.

What a shame. He was like a breath of fresh air when he arrived. Pacey, aggressive, and no fear of taking on the oppo, and had a decent cross in him.

Unfortunately he seems to be made of balsa wood draped in soft butter. Just get him off the payroll at this stage. :(

Still remember him turning up to training with his Toiletries etc in a Tesco Bag, whilst all the others had D&G perfumery bags etc....Then training in the Snow in short sleeves and rolled own socks... (again) Whilst all the other's had Snoods, Gloves and Hot Water Bottles up their sphincters etc

Always liked him, an old school type and without the fitness issues I’d happily still have him in the side. Put better crosses in than anyone else, including the two wingers.

I hope he can get over the ravages of injury and wish him all the best for the future.

🚨Martin Ødegaard underwent multiple scans last week & is understood to have seen a specialist regarding his ankle injury this week.

The Arsenal captain is still absent from training ahead of a huge week for the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta says Martin Odegaard will be out for "a while" with "significant" ligament damage to his ankle. He said it's "hopefully" not going to be months. #AFC
