Just checked out the odds, thinking that England probably out to about 20/1.
Wrong! England are now clear favourites at 7/2![]()
Blimey I’m glad I haven’t watched the other teams!
They have the easiest run to the final ever seen in international football - france's bottle job on Tuesday has meant that france, spain, germany and portugal are now all on opposite side of the draw to ingerland, and italy are only have decent obstacle they might face before the final
Yep, it's constant luck like this that has kept Red Rum in the job for so long. Well that and his weasel woke words. The two halves of the draw couldn't be so different if you planned it.
Against a half decent side England would go straight out, but apart from Italy and the Netherlands (who are shadows of their former selves), even Southgate's team should be able to stumble past the rest.
Well yes but look at the luck of the draw and his resources. Everytime we play a team of comparable statue/ranking we lose. Southgate hasn't to my recollection beaten any team on par or above us. So thus how is that a success? Its an epic failure if anything. Piss easy runs to finals and semis mean nothing if as soon as you come up against a country that has existed pre 1991 you lose!
As for the euros bar the odd game every 'big' team has looked equally as crap.
Yep, Reno and I always talk about this when England are playing, the incredible luck Red Rum has in the draw and the minute we meet a comparable side, we lose. Trouble is, because he always manages to dodge any quality until the final stages, the clowns talk up his record.
