I haven’t watched much of the Euros apart from the dire England matches.

Just checked out the odds, thinking that England probably out to about 20/1.

Wrong! England are now clear favourites at 7/2

Blimey I’m glad I haven’t watched the other teams!

They have the easiest run to the final ever seen in international football - france's bottle job on Tuesday has meant that france, spain, germany and portugal are now all on opposite side of the draw to ingerland, and italy are only have decent obstacle they might face before the final

Yep, it's constant luck like this that has kept Red Rum in the job for so long. Well that and his weasel woke words. The two halves of the draw couldn't be so different if you planned it.

Against a half decent side England would go straight out, but apart from Italy and the Netherlands (who are shadows of their former selves), even Southgate's team should be able to stumble past the rest.
Yep idiots like Chris Sutton spout most successful England manager since sir alf.

Well yes but look at the luck of the draw and his resources. Everytime we play a team of comparable statue/ranking we lose. Southgate hasn't to my recollection beaten any team on par or above us. So thus how is that a success? Its an epic failure if anything. Piss easy runs to finals and semis mean nothing if as soon as you come up against a country that has existed pre 1991 you lose!

As for the euros bar the odd game every 'big' team has looked equally as crap.

Yep, Reno and I always talk about this when England are playing, the incredible luck Red Rum has in the draw and the minute we meet a comparable side, we lose. Trouble is, because he always manages to dodge any quality until the final stages, the clowns talk up his record.

Had a feeling from the start they would do well and maybe win it.....not saying theres not better teams about ....and with clueless southgate and liability stones and pickford despite all that think its their year
just to add MR silly woke bollox is not using Rice to best effect, and Bellingham and Foden seem to be lost despite being very good players
still think they will win it or loose in final

I can't seeing them winning it Red. We might get past Italy...who are dreadful up front...and then ought to have enough to beat the Dutch if they get through, but we won't dodge a top side in the final. The more I think about it, we rarely beat teams like the Italians and the Dutch, even if they aren't what they once were.

Mind you, I suppose if we make the final then anything can happen.

To be honest, until I saw them play, I had a sneaking feeling that England might win this tournament.

Not based on any analysis or anything, just a feeling.

I've really only watched England and the Germans and one Dutch game, and then some highlights, as I just can't be arsed and I am only really interested in seeing how Saka and Rice get on.

But now after seeing the England team under the Ali G Features style of management I think Italy or almost anyone else will beat them. And not necessarily by outplaying them, but more by being craftier and more streetwise because Borat-Light seems massively naive and has again let the media pick his squad and even the team mostly. :?

Anyway, tbh what this tournament has mostly done is reinforce my absolute giving of zero fucks about Interlull football.

True its not rational i know ...but just think its typical and the luck is definitely on their side
Yes Italy are a strange lot now....where are the great players?? ....but hard to beat and always seem to just scrape through....your right upfront they are very over rated
Been watching the games over there, they are still football mad :)

I dont dislike the germans as much as others do, but this game tonight seems to be set up to ensure germany progress - the danish disallowed goal was ruled out for dubious offside and imo it could have been a penalty to denmark, and then within a few mins var awards the german;s a soft penalty for handball

Totally. What with the rain and all it's been an awful match and like you said, anything to ensure Germany go through.

What a load of rubbish!! :D

As a kid when all my mates were worshipping Brazil, I loved the German teams back in the day: Rummenigge, Beckenbauer, Müller, etc. Class players that would later remind me a bit of GG's Arsenal: tough, clinical, but stylish at times too.

I fucking loved it when Schumacher tried to decapitate Battiston.  Those were the days when men played the game. He knocked the guy out cold, took out two of his teeth, broke his ribs, put the guy in a coma with a head high tackle and it wasn't even a penno!

Nowadays, it'd be a penno, a red card, Schumacher would be hounded out of the game, SlySports would have some sanctimonious prick like Micah "suck any dick to be on TV" Richards on pontificating about "assault" and "sportsmanship", "homophobia", and, of course, "racism", and then put up a phone number for anyone affected by the tragedy to phone so they can talk about their mental health, while some prick would go on twatter to write "there are no words" and then prove yes there are plenty of fucking words by proceeding to type about 800 of them about himself and his "inner struggles" whilst offering "prayers for everyone involved". :censored:

Both decisions for the Germans were tight but correct.
Had a goal disallowed themselves.

Haven't missed two glorious chances a bit like the cup game against Liverpool. Needs to be more clinical
