My point is, blame wenger anyone with an iota of intelligence knows it is his fault.
We have spent money on some great players for example Arshavin. Fantastic player when he came, then wenger in his inimitable stupid, arrogant way plays him out of position all the time - till the player loses the will to live, play and stay at Arsenal which is why he went completely off the boil, the same thing has happened to Ozil and will probably happen to Alexis...Only a clueless cun.t like wenger could destroy three such world class players.
Cannot argue with any of that
Hmm.... Strange, I don't remember saying any of that! :wink
That's what happens if you support Wenger for too long you start getting forgetful and delusional
The Group has no short-term debt and its cash reserves, excluding the balances designated as debt service reserves, amounted £138.8 million (2013 - £120.6 million).
For the hard of reading that means we have £138.8 million in the bank as opposed to £120.6m last year.
FACT
Cloaked. No response? Or are you just embarrassed that one of your arguments has been demonstrated as the heap of steaming shite it is?
The oft-quoted “if I had £100m I would give it back” is legit. I’ve paraphrased Wenger’s response but he did say he would give such a sum back; I’m surprised you aren’t aware of this.
Swiss Ramble is also pretty much bang-on as regards our finances.
Every AKB denies Wenger ever made any comments that belittles their glowing opinion of him. I'm wondering cloakedgooner, do you have a recollection of Wenger telling fans that pay extortionate prices to go to games that they should ''go to the game, and then judge was it worth the price they paid''. Further proof of the arrogance of the man, while he earns millions.
The price of the tickets are ridiculous these days (I've been priced out somewhat, only get to attend the occasional game ) but the price the club sell tickets for isn't down to him, all he is really saying is that a fan should go to a game, and then judge whether it was worth going. Any time we go to watch our team, it's technically a gamble as we don't know for sure if we will win or play well etc. I think he was just trying to say (in a round about way) that side of the club isn't his area.
I remember because the club were being so heavily criticised. This was Wenger defending the board, simple as. Also, how many times has he said that people who haven't worked a day in football don't have the right to criticise him. That means that most regular fans have no right to an opinion.
SwissRambler is not an obscure blog, it is the daddy of all football blogs.

I might or might not be in a minority but I'll make this plain and clear:
Even if we won the league and champions league this season I still would not change my opinion of Wenger nor of his management of our team. I'll go further AW has not for the last 9 season provided sufficient leadership and management of a team the size of Arsenal and does not deserve to retain his position with us!
I know that some people will say that he deserves respect for his previous achievements with the club and I give due respect for those but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.
Wenger not only needs to be removed as manager but needs to be removed completely from the club so that anyone coming in can clean house. Over the last 18 years he has gone beyond being the Manager and has insinuated himself into every aspect of the running of the club.
I do not believe anyone being brought in to replace him will do so if they are constantly looking over their shoulder for his highnesses approval.

I can't believe that's actually true. Much as it would be a case of swallowing huge amounts of humble pie, if the guy managed to achieve what no other Arsenal manager has ever done, then we would all have to hold our hands up and admit to it being a fantastic achievement. Would it excuse all the mistakes of the past 9 years? Absolutely not......but it would be one hell of a stubborn man who would deny him a chance to carry on if he won the 2 biggest pots going in the same season.
Back in the real world of course we will somehow still manage to squeak 4th and get knocked out of the CL at the last 16 stage again despite the euphoria of everyone who already celebrated victory against them the minute the draw was made

Oh no Quartz! Ssshhhh don't tell Flash and Cloaked Loonie that Swiss Ramble is actually more informative and educational than any paper source!
Just let Cloak carry on thinking that "as it's on a blog", that number that says we have £138m in the bank is errr, somehow invalidated

As i said in an earlier post bumming up anyone who agrees with you, youre so desperate to be right
This on the other hand

This is irrefutable which is why no one ie Cloaked can argue with it, well done Chippy

Yep. So irrefutable that it's the exact numbers in what I linked to in Swiss ramble. :
Mind you I'm quite enjoying your description of it as "some obscure blog"
Next week: how BBC1 is an obscure regional tv station

irrefutable = from the fucking horses mouth not a second hand report which could have been incorrect, exactly what i said earlier Itchy.
We pay our stadium bonds back at roughly £21M per season until the end of the 2030 - 2031 season.
Total to pay £357M.
We already have £159M of that in cash reserves (stated £138M balance plus £21M mandatory one season's repayments stored in the bank as per terms of the bonds, and I may be wrong but I have seen it written that we have to store £35M rather than £21M as an emergency fund under the terms of the bonds.)
So we have to find an extra £198M from gate receipts, prize money, TV money, sponsorship, merchandise and other commercial income between now and summer 2031.
Split over 17 seasons until summer 2031, that is an extra £11.65M per season we have to find, on top of the cash we already have.
I reckon that is realistic under current economic conditions.

Congrats on the exemplary spelling of "irrefutable"
You've been done up like a kipper, specially on your description of Swiss Ramble as "some random blog"
Still, keep digging
Coming from the bloke that reads the comments section of other teams websites and believes the mental cases that post there you can understand why i was unsure of your 'proof' ....... As i said if you'd quoted Arsenal.com there would have been no discussion.
