Wenger did say that prices come down towards the end of the window. Think he said something like most of the activity takes place during the last 5 days or even 5 hours when thae prices can drop.

What a stupid, penny-pinching , blinkered approach to take.

Jesus. You can just picture Wenger trolling around Tesco for all the out-of-date stuff at 8pm on a Saturday night looking for a bargain.

Just made that a bit more realistic.

Forget Edinson Cavani, this is more like it! I heard this evening we're interested in Florian Thauvin from Bastia?! :? Yeah, i've no idea who he is either. Which is why it'll probably happen...

He looks like the Ox except he's white and French. Oh, and he's a wide player that can play centrally too. Hmmm, sounds familiar :rubchin: If him coming meant Gervinho and Ramsey were on the way out I would be excited but you know that'a not the case. Even if we did buy him you know Wenger would only use him sporadically and not start him until next season so it looks like we produced anothe talent instead of just buying one.

FFS just buy a lethal striker or midfield destroyer!!!!!

The non spending Wenger in PSG? That would be something :D
What bothers me more in this article is this
"Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis suggested Wenger will be offered a contract extension to stay at the Emirates"

Kill me now.

There's some classic quotes in the comments section of that mirror article. Here's Clive Sharpe, a fully paid up member of the moron brigade;
Having been a gooner for 30+ years, and having witnessed good, and not so good, times I can hand on heart say to lose Wenger, in my opinion, would be a massive loss. There is no one else that can spot the young un-knowns that he seems to unearth season after season, buying in for peanuts and selling for mega money to those rich clubs who seem to have to buy Arsenal stars to even hope of achieving anything. I do think the new stadium has forced us to become something of a selling club, but remember, Emirates is paid for now and Arsenal makes a profit. Wenger can, and has, spent in the past. Maybe he will again soon. I do know that I enjoy watching Arsenals style of play, our team is exciting and there is massive potential.

Who the fcuk are these young unknowns that the senile old c**t is finding that nobody else can see ? Ox was being chased by all and sundry so was nowhere near unknown. Manure wanted ramsey but we offered (way) more in wages so he wasnt unknown. Wilshire, chesney and gibbs came through the youth ranks so they were signed years ago and most probably not by wenger anyway :roll: Podolski and BFG are established german internationals with almost 200 caps between them so they not unknown for sure. Arteta was proven premiership quality when we bought him so that rules him out as an unknown then.
Who does that leave then ? I guess that leaves klingon, kos and giroud then - none of them are young and it is debatable whether any of them have been proven to be good buys thus far so who the fcuk is that dickhead talking about when he hails wenger's continual transfer genius ? :?

Point B.....when was the emirates finished being paid for ? Who has told him that it is fully paid for ? Fcuking knob isnt even aware that there is years left on the mortgage and penalty clauses for early repayment :roll:

Point C....he loves watching our style of play does he ? Tip tap slow sidewards football and he loves it ? This is such a ridiculous statement that words escape me - he is clearly a fruit and nut case allowed out for the weekend from the funny farm
