regards the vardy situation I think everybody is getting carried away with it being an Arsenal over Leicester thing which normally it would be but this season its a 'stay with the champions or move to perennial no hopers situation'. Leicester are the champions ffs,unless Vardy was an Arsenal supporter why would he move?ask your self this,if you were a pro footballer playing for the newly crowned league champions and man utd came in for you and you weren't a Utd supporter what would be the big draw in going?i know I wouldn't be interested as playing for Utd aint my thing same as playing for Arsenal clearly isn't Vardys thing,not everybody feels the love for Arsenal like we do.i wish every body would remember that its not little old Leicester like it was,its Leicester the champions,why wouldn't he stay and see how far they can go,whats the odds they go further in the CL than us,you could just see it couldnt you what with our piss poor record.To be perfectly honest im relieved he aint coming,his no show against Slovakia goes to show he offers the team nothing unless you are constantly slinging the ball over the top for him,the chavvy twat can fuck right off

The Vardy situation is a dream for him, gives him his usual "we tried to sign him" to be followed by "there's no value in the market" as the likes of Morata, Higuian etc all sign for someone else, followed by "the club did not want to sell" after a £5m offer for Sane, followed by "we have Sanogo back and he is looking sharp" followed by Ivan "We are delighted to have signed Arsene to another 3 year contract"

We should never have let him get on that plane still stringing us along. We made him a whacking great offer to join the Arsenal and should have given him a non-negotiable deadline of the day before he flew.

If he was serious and was ever going to join, three days or whatever was plenty of time to mull it over and he would have signed.

Are you serious? Yeah - it's great they won the PL and stopped the vermin from winning it, but let's not get carried away thinking that this now somehow makes Leicester a big club. It doesn't, just like it didn't for Blackburn. Even Vardy is not so dumb that he can't see that a hell of a lot of planets had to align for Leicester to win that PL last season. They won't retain it. They probably will never win it again in their entire history.

CL?? Seriously??!! They will not be able to cope with the extra games and the higher standard of some of the teams they will face.

He chose to stay at a club - the league champions - where he's already familiar with the surroundings and will get almost the same money. Kante will leave, probably Mahrez too, and the chances of Leicester winning the league again are minimal, same as Arsenal.

I think Vardy's made the right choice for him, but can't say I feel 'embarrassed' that he's stayed at a smaller club over joining us, there's plenty of other considerations. Maybe his missus doesn't like London.

More annoying will be if (when) Mikhtaryan signs for Mourinho over us, then i'll join you all in the angry corner.

but remember Blackburn were a bigger draw than us the season they won the league,we couldn't even prize chris Sutton away from Norwich but Blackburn did,its the same thing,it doesn't make us small time all of a sudden,let Leicester and vardy have there 15 minutes of fame,in a couple of years we will all laugh at the fact they won the league and that we went in for Vardy,this fiasco will seem a distant memory

I'm not for a minute saying we are now small time. But we are now in a position (thanks to Wenger) where this possibly one season wonder has turned us down after weeks of speculation to remain at a small club that most likely will be fighting relegation again within 2 - 3 years, if not next year.

The failure to sign Chris Sutton has to be qualified by the facts that Blackburn were pimped and GG was a notorious skinflint and we had a wage cap at Arsenal.
