So today Wonga is now saying he has sacrificed the FA cup for European games in the past......this is a couple of weeks after saying he sacrificed European games for the FA cup.
If ever you needed (even more) proof that the man doesn't even know what he is saying, here you go. He's just a walking soundbite, saying whatever he thinks is appropriate at that moment in time, regardless of what has been said before. The man is a liar and is embarrassing for the club.

"It is important to us and we have always taken it seriously. We did not always manage to win it, but we have won it five times during my period here. Nobody has won it more in the last 18 years, so we have always taken it seriously. Sometimes so seriously that we suffered in the Champions League. Many times a cup game was in front of a Champions League game - for instance this week we play in the cup and then the week after next in the Champions League. Many times we lost some players. I remember against Manchester United when we played against Chelsea in the Champions League three days later we lost some because we took the game seriously''

My obsession is not whether people say I am great or not. My 'project' with my young players is an obsession.''

DO WE NEED ANY MORE PROOF THAT THIS MAN IS INCAPABLE OF MANAGING OUR CLUB. WITHIN A THREE WEEK PERIOD HE CONTRADICTS HIMSELF, AND YET WE ARE TOLD WE HAVE TO BELIEVE IN HIM

I am sadly coming round to the idea that failure is the only way forward for the club - I know a lot of other posters have already stated this.

don't for a minute think that Wenger gives a shit about the game tonight by the way.
he will already have one eye on the game v West Ham on Saturday. a win in that match is more important to him than tonight.
the only thing he has in his favour is that Van Gaal (unlike Ferguscum) also thinks that the league is more important too.

so tonight is basically a battle between the 2 heavyweight losers of the Premier League.
Arsene "the specialist in failure" Wenger V Louis "I agree that 4th place is a trophy" Van Gaal

I think your right, Wonga is bricking it about not finishing 4th, he knows if he does his job is safe, the board wan't shift him as long as he is making them money. Fook the fans and the club MONEY comes first. :cussing:

+1

this man has spouted so much crap over the last few years that I wonder if he's not literally becoming senile.

at best people in the media need to hold him accountable. It'd be such an easy job to do.

Last night was very different to the Shitty game. Does anyone believe we would have won it if Valencia hadn't gifted us a goal and Di Maria got sent off? We weren't very good last night, they were worse!

My thoughts exactly - tactically I didnt see anything different last night than I did when we got butt-fcuked by monaco last week :? Their team lacks the football intelligence, confidence and movement that monaco had and that played a factor in last nights result 8)
