Now however we are well short in the keeper, centre back and centre midfielder positions and signing quality players in those positions could make a world of difference to our bid to win trophies this season so how can you put a value on that ?

You claim he always make 1 big signing a season (i'll argue that despite their qualities neither sagna or eduardo could be classed as big signings last summer) but I would suggest to you that nasri is THAT big signing for this summer

Lastly I will again state for the record the opinion that I expressed last may and that was that if wenger doesnt make the necessary additions to the squad and we again fail to win silverware then it is p45 time for him next summer I am afraid  My opposition to the current board is well known at this stage (I would love to see them gone asap) but wenger is nowhere near blameless either and you cannot get away from the fact that we have made a profit from our transfer dealings in each of the last 5 summers and this money has not been re-invested in the squad :x Since the end of last season, a season where our small squad was the doing of us, we have lost 4 (jens, bert, pleb & flamoney) experienced players and have replaced them with an unproven nasri, an unproven 17 year old ramsey, an injury prone portugese player that has played a grand total of 1 game for dortmunds 1st team    This is down to wenger no matter what anybody says and his analysis at the tail end of last season that our defense was a problem has now been disregarded cos he now thinks they are ok ?? :banghead: :banghead:

I will accept that money arguement for only so long and I will again point to a few players where he could have upgraded our squad for little or no money spent - jussi jaskielinien, shay given and richard dunne are just a few names off the top of my head. It really isnt good enough for a club of our so called stature and maybe it is time for a massive shake up in the club from the top (boardroom) down to the bottom (the poor tea lady  )

I've said it before but you do the actual real Wenger supporters no favours posting rubbish like that.
yup. he posted the exact same thing after the City win.

as we know AKB's can't separate wonga from Arsenal.

i'm overjoyed by the win, but we were and are crap. what kind of defence an AKB have to our record up there over the last NINE seasons I have no idea - stadium, injuries ? solar magnetic storms ?

we literally are The Arsenal of Don Howe in 1982 - plenty of stars and talent, but no tactics. Anyone who has forgotten that should rewatch the Monaco game where an average European side outplayed us at home and won 3-1.

Monday night was a blip nothing more. (our real form was in the losses to southampton, swansea, stoke, monaco, dortmund etc).

Got a feeling we are going to give Monaco a proper game next week, not saying we will turn it around but salvage some pride at least....we all know about Wenger and his tactical genius, despite that i think the players will respond to that debacle
Monaco are SHIT, we can do it.

also.....Not sure about pigeon holing people as AKBs seems too lazy/childish to me

Your not going to like this forum then, we use that phrase a lot :) As far as im concerned, being pro Wenger doesn't mean your an AKB, but those people who wont listen to any logic when it comes to Wenger, and will twist any argument that criticises Wenger are deserving of being called AKB'S.

Still think he's had his day, but willing to cut him some slack for Monday night. It was something we haven't experienced for a very long time, mainly due to Wenger, but still buzzing.

Give him some credit he seems to be turning it around and justifying his position that he was financially shackled. Is finishing 3rd the new 1st as the top two have a false financial position?

Ye we will get the PL virtual trophy in May, and once we forget the financially doped teams from the CL, we will virtually win that aswell. A double of VT'S to go along with the real FA cup, what a season.

We really should go on to win back to back Cups now but my stance on Wenger hasn't changed one iota. I have always maintained the primary reason I want him gone is because I have no confidence in his ability to lead us to another title - he just isn't up to the task anymore and hasn't been for some years.

Ah stop man....we have become a cup team who, like many average sized clubs, are capable of beating any team on it's day, but are unable to do so on a regular basis  Le cock continues to be found wanting against every tactically aware manager and worse still, he continues to be unable to motivate his players week in week out

Too many football fans have goldfish memories....one great result on monday night seems to have wiped the memories of stoke, hull, southampton x2, anderlecht etc from the record books  Only two weeks ago a team from a poor french league came to our backyard missing half of their players and gave us a lesson....didnt appear that wenker had turned it around that night did it ? :x

Arsenal have also been given fresh hope of signing Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, 27, after he said he is not just considering a move to Schalke. (Metro)
