THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

As already mentioned, the level of players aren't the problem, the manager is. Also, wasn't that story by John Cross, who is about as reliable as an opinion by Adrian Durham. Last season when Cross was sprouting his bullshit about the players we were going to sign in the summer, he didn't mention anyone that we actually signed.

I've said it before but you do the actual real Wenger supporters no favours posting rubbish like that. :oops: :roll:
I concur. All the comments seem to have been very positive about the result on Monday. It was a great result for us, and ones personal feelings on Wenger shouldn't dictate if they are happy with it or not. Most posters on here seem to agree. These are the great results that unite the Wenger in/out divide! :barscarf:

I think he is coming round to understand. He was pointing out that the divisions lessen with great results, hard to argue against that TBF. Course the divisions are still there :|

From Arsenal .com today;
Arsenal FC Manager Arsene Wenger ,

“Every year it gets more difficult because you have more teams who can compete for [the top four]. In future years it will be even harder. We know that every single game is decisive now. We are already looking forward to the next game.”

So once again our manager admits the extent of his /clubs ambition is top four... The "in future years it will be harder" bit is even more ominous ..

That's one of the main reasons I despise him. He has become a loser, a man content with failure. I have a DVD of the 2002/2003 season, and he talks about the disappointment of only winning the FA cup, and finishing 2nd in the league. Imagine if we finished 2nd now, he would be acting as though we had won the treble. How can someone with such a drive to win, become such a loser :(

He is just thinking of adding something new to his revised copy of his New York Times bestseller, big book of excuses.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly rebuffed a shock approach from Paris Saint-Germain to replace boss Laurent Blanc at the end of the season.

Pity :(

I never said you didn't still want Wenger out despite a good result! I was simply pointing out that whether or not you support him, we should all just put that argument to one side and enjoy the result as fans! :oops:
