As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

what will we make of him then?
if that is achieved then although I would still want a new manager I would also be prepared to get behind him for his 2 remaining years at the club.
lot of ifs though. if we finish 4th and Stevie me scores the winner against us in the cup final then he can fuck off !
He can fcuk right off regardless of what happens between here and the end of the season - if he had of done his job properly last summer then we would be serious challengers to win the league right now, but instead he hid and decided that it was easier to tell the world that competing against the mega wealthy is impossible Being a manager who knows fcuk all about tactics, he doesn't contemplate the possibility that the chavs and citeeh could be tactically undone over a season and so he surrenders. He doesn't entertain the possibility that the wealthy teams could suffer key injuries during the season and again he surrenders. He is really such a cowardly prick that he doesn't deserve to be manager of our club

Maybe I sound paranoid, but if the board were telling Wenger that they expected a QTR final place every year, then we would have been more motivated to beat Monaco, and wouldn't have acted like we didn't give a shit in the 1st leg. Wenger knows that once we get through the group then its job done for him, and the rest of the competition isn't really that important.

We're just a rich Basel. Happy to be in the group stages, reach the last 16 but no real ambition to win the thing.

Have to disagree a little bit..i think wenger would love to win the cl...unfortunately he doesn't know how to.
You're right about the board though...finish 4th...job done.
The whole attitude of the club needs to change.
Not going to happen because the two main men at Arsenal (Kranky and Wonga) are not THAT bothered about winning trophies.
It's all about revenues and keeping the stadium full. Wonga is the economist who manages to do just enough to keep interest without having to actually go all out to win something. It's been said many a time, for Arsenal to change for the positive it needs a new owner and a new manager.
