I spent years as a kid listening to his amazing voice and was stunned when I first saw him and discovered he was white.

A great commentator and he seemed like a top bloke as well.
Loved his voice; fantastic commentator and all-round decent bloke. Very sad to hear he's gone to the big pavilion in the sky.

RIP Tony.

It stands to reason; the baby boomers are starting to die out. Celebrity deaths will only get worse from now on.

What a shit year.

50+ killed in an Orlando nightclub last night. Worst mass shooting in US history and also being claimed as domestic terrorist attack.

I think all hand guns and all military grade rifles should be illegal. Only guns that should be legal are single shot hunting rifles and shotguns. And you should have to have a full background check to get one.

As stated before, I have a firearms licence and 100% believe in the right to do so, but I do not believe every fucker should have that right. The legislation has to be tightened in the USA - it never will though, the NRA are too powerful a lobby group. In Oireland gun ownership is very restricted. If you have a criminal record or any history of mental illness you ain't getting a licence. Of course this doesn't stop scumbags getting hold of illegal firearms (as ably demonstrated by the current gangster feud that is leaving bodies all over Dublin!). But it does limit the amount of firearms out there and helps to make it harder for accidents and spree killings to happen.

I own a bolt action .308 single shot rifle for target shooting. Took me 6 months of police and medical checks to get that licence. I had to install a spec-heavy secure gun safe in my house that had to be inspected and passed by a police firearms officer. All this long before I could actually buy the gun! Every 3 years I have to re-apply for the licence and they run the checks again.

Why anyone would need a semi-automatic assault rifle with hi-cap mag is beyond me. There is no justification for a gun with that much killing power. At least 40 or so US states refused to ban assault rifles.

Here's just a 5 minute clip of a segment Real Sports on HBO did on the AR-15 rifle. It's pathetic that these people created a "sport" just to justify the sales of the AR-15. I highly recommend watching the entire 20 minute piece if you can find it or if you have HBO GO.

Jo Cox RIP.

It's absolutely disgraceful that an MP gets shot and stabbed for doing her job.
The remain campaign will use this to their advantage. Exploiting the emotional rebound.

No matter how it gets used it such a sad and tragic event.
