No surprise if Arteta gets rid of ESR, he clearly doesn't like him. I did mention it a week or two ago but If you look back at the 'celebrations' after the penalties in the charity shield, Arteta has this weird face in face thing with Havertz, it was VERY personal, huge smiles......and then Arteta sees ESR, gives a very brief hug I think it was, literally looking the other way when he did it and no smile. The difference between the two interactions spoke volumes. Arteta absolutely has a massive hard on for Havertz and he clearly has a big problem with ESR.
It'll be a shame if he goes to the Chavs because firstly, he'll hardly get a game there either and secondly, we'll probably sell him for 25m with 5m add-ons, way under value, after being raped anally for Havertz. Our transfer business ranges from very good to fucking disgraceful frankly.

If ESR is let go there for anything less than the 65 million we spaffed up the wall on havertz then it should be legohead thats going and not ESR, Selling good players to immediate rivals while spending big money on their rejects....now what other manager does that remind me of.........Im fast approaching Legohead out if this happens.

Watch them bend us over again and offload that shite Mudryk in exchange. Our idiots would see it as a blinding deal.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I’ll be fuming if ESR goes. He had the potential be better than Scuba Grealish a couple of seasons ago, but then one gets managed by Pep and one gets ostracised by Legohead, and 2 years later one has every trophy in the game and one is kicking his heels in the reserves and about to be forced out to play for a bunch of rats.

Luton want Holdinho on loan

Probably a good move for him, it's his level.

I will be very much Arteta out if ESR ends up at the chavs whilst we are stuck with their flop - Havertz.
this is turning into the worst transfer window i can ever remember.
we have gone from title contenders to a mid table rabble. might as well sell Saka to Spurs as well

I've given Arteta the benefit of the doubt, even when he was playing the swissturd instead of ESR, but if this happens it will make no sense unless of course Arteta has no intention of playing ESR. Why that would be I don't know, ESR cannot suddenly have become a lesser player. Prior to his continuing injury and then operation to put it right he was one of our best & most exciting players. He has that rare ability to simply attack and beat defences....besides an ability to finish very well.Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 10:25 amI will be very much Arteta out if ESR ends up at the chavs whilst we are stuck with their flop - Havertz.

Just heard on 5Live the Chavs have made an approach, but no details yet.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I got some stick from one or two quarters on here for saying 2 years ago that it was clear to me that Arteta didn't fancy ESR. The season before last he was our stand out player for the first third of the season and our leading goalscorer, despite being a young midfielder, but after getting injured, could get nowhere near the side again.
I heard all the limp excuses about fitness levels and diets, but the fact that Arteta always preferred Xhaka in the advanced midfield role tells you all you need to know. On the odd occasion that it wasn't Xhaka, or a substitution was made, ESR found himself behind Viera and Jorginho. To rub salt in the wound, he's now behind Havertz too!!
I've been saying for 18 months that the boy should demand a move, because his career will be over before it's begun if he continues under Captain Black. Lunacy to sell him to Chelsea (but as TeeCee says, not a good move for the boy, because he's hardly likely to get much game time there), but wherever he goes, I wish him all the luck in the world and won't mind if he comes back to haunt Arteta. Two to three years ago he looked like the pick of the quality youngsters, but he's been treated abysmally.
