Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah but 104 of them are the love filled ramblings of an opposing fan!
That's just a testament to his ability: his talent is so unique and his skill so breathtaking, he transcends fan barriers. Legend.

Never forget:

Neymar - Bendtner - Messi

Unbelievable...

What you've done there, right... basically, right... with that photoshop there, right... putting The Fat Drunk in the Barca top, right... with Messi in shot, right... well, what you've done there is the footballing equivalent of walking into the Vatican, dressed as a Satanist, and taking a shit on the floor. On the floor, mind you! :x

:-P

Thanks DB10 you've answered that age old question of why the wanky Tottenham hotshit went to Rome to see the Pope :)

And who could forget that Elephantesque touch in the Nou Camp in the famous no shots on goal defeat.....one chance to scrape us through at the end and his second touch was a tackle!

Truly a legend in his own lunchtime

Been mulling The Great Danes time over today, and wondering quite seriously, didnt we (The Arsenal, not the forum..) Handle him pretty badly- would he actually have been someone good if he hadnt been allowed to get so out of condition?

No, his ego and character off the pitch ensured his failure.

Danish daily Ekstra Bladet are reporting that Arsenal freebie Nicklas Bendtner has two suitors in Germany.

Despite being roundly considered a flop during his time at the Gunners, Bundesliga outfits Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt are both being linked with Bendtner.

Bendtner becomes a free agent on July 1st.

Whether Bendtner will move to either club, though remains in question as the Danish international is said to be demanding a salary and sign-on fee of around 40 million euros per year.

Unsurprisingly, neither club wish to pay anything close to that figure, withe Frankfurt rumoured to be interested for around €15m, while Stuttgart are in for approximately €19m all-in-all.

Eintracht were one of his suitors before along with the mighty Palace and Hull. All of them turned the greedy deluded c u n t away. Leicester and Burnley are both turning their noses up at his wage demands too......why doesn't he just fuck off to the MLS....a league for mercenary c u n t s everywhere

Surely NY Red Bulls must be interested in re-kindling the deadly Henry/Bendtner partnership that scored 33 goals for us in the 2005/06 season???

Thats just my point, players need guidance along the way, egos and characters especially.

Hes by no means the first to have gone off the rails of course, hope we are not top of the league for wayward players, but we are quite high?

Cant help feel he would have been a decent player with more practice and less pizzas

If someone has the opportunity to be a footballer. To play a game you love and to earn squillions into the bargain the responsibility lies with them and them alone.
Bellend pissed his career up the wall (literally). You can maybe question his parents but neither the club, nor AW bear any responsibility.
He was given plenty of opportunities and continually failed. The lack of clubs interested in signing him bears testimony to his character and ability.

Agree with this 100%. He had talent and could have been a very good player, but decided that his personal life was more important than what actually thrust him in the public eye, which was the football.

He could still turn it around, but I think it will be at a mid table team in any of the leagues.
