Just heard, sad news.Bradywasking wrote:Caroline Aherne RIP.. Another victim of Cancer..Born with it in the retina and died from it aged 52...
Poor girl seemed to be perpetually suffering from cancer. Loved the Fast Show, and her McGhee/Eubank interviews on Mrs Merton were classic.

Thirty people died in Nice tonight after a truck drove into crowds celebrating Bastille Day..Early reports suggest a terrorist attack..Will this carnage ever end?
Re: RIP Thread
The number up to 73 dead now. What the fuck is happening this year? why is France getting attacked as frequently as it has done?Bradywasking wrote:Thirty people died in Nice tonight after a truck drove into crowds celebrating Bastille Day..Early reports suggest a terrorist attack..Will this carnage ever end?

Why France ? , thorny subject full of race accusation pit falls. Would like to put forward a theory but it's just too dangerous.

It is a dangerous subject and the dullard's response will always be 'Racist!', but it's an important subject not helped by the liberal / SJW brigade's silence.
Anyone who's seen Ben Affleck's meltdown on Real Time when Bill Maher and Sam Harris tried to discuss the issues presented by radical Islam will know the type.
Liberals will argue that 'it's nothing to do with religion' and that it's to do with social and economic deprivation, but people of all religions and none are in difficult situations, but they don't go around murdering innocent people.
A minority of Muslims hold fundamentalist views.
A minority of those will be 'extremist'.
A minority of those will be radicalised.
A minority of those will commit atrocities.
Ergo; the more Muslims in a particular country, the greater the possibilty of atrocities.
I suspect France's security services may be lacking, but the maths is clear.
This should in no way implicate the majority of Muslims who, like the rest of us, are primarily concerned with their kids, their mortgage and their job, but sensitivity to their situation shouldn't stop a debate taking place.

My personal opinion is most world religions and/or many political ideologies have gone through genocidal violent expansion phases. Certain elements of Christianity went through it roughly 600 years ago. Coincidentally (or not) Islam is about 600 years younger than Christianity. Certain elements of Islam are now basically where certain elements of Christianity were 600 years ago; the genocidal violent expansion phase as demonstrated by their clear agenda of "Convert to our beliefs or we kill you".
What I find worrying is that so many of the "peaceful majority" of Muslims are reluctant to be more vocal against the "violent extremist minority" or more co-operative with the authorities to help stamp out the violent extremists. I know much of that reluctance is down to fear, but a part of me thinks maybe a few of those quiet Muslims are motivated by a secret acceptance that the extremists, to some degree, are morally right. Of course that's not me saying all or most Muslims are like that, but just that many of them do nothing to dispel that perception...
Re: RIP Thread
France has a Muslim population nearing 10% largely made up of North Africans. Whilst in itself this is not a problem I would imagine that the number radicalised is higher than in the U.k for instance where the population is nearer 4.5 % . It's a question of numbers and convenience i.e easier to get the materials closer to home. However a lorry per se is easy to get anywhere but the armaments found in it not so much. Other European countries have higher percentages but not so much from Africa as from the East , Turkey , the Balkans for instance. Another human tragedy borne on the back of differing religions and their quest for domination of the people.
