🚨Arsenal knock back Chelsea's initial approach for Emile Smith Rowe. Gunners not keen on selling to direct rival as things stand.

The kids career at AFC is over and I love him as a player and want him to go and make a good career for himself elsewhere, but not at the chavs. I will bet my bollox that regardless of what soundbites come from the club, the decision not to sell to the chavs was made above el basque's head cos he wouldnt care where he goes as long as he is gone - I said many times on here that pep's cone boy is a vindictice c.unt that wants smith-rowe and tierney gone and I got some abuse for suggesting such a thing, well we are halfway there now and smith-rowe is standing on edge of cliff waiting to be pushed

🚨 Sources have indicated that Chelsea have shown a willingness to include players as a sweetener in any deal (for Smith-Rowe) with Arsenal. (@SamiMokbel81_DM)

In that case, we’ll have Caicedo and Lavia plus £100m. Thanks Chelsea.

🚨 Sources claim that an offer way above market value may tempt Arsenal into selling Emile Smith Rowe before Friday’s deadline, but as things stand, there appears to be minimal chance of that deal taking place. Sources have indicated that Chelsea have shown a willingness to include players as a sweetener in any deal with Arsenal. [@SamiMokbel81_DM] In full.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they try and lump us with Mudryk,

Always a shame to see 'one of our own' leave, but its clear that ESR sadly isn't going to feature any time soon. With the number of attacking midfielders we have he is further down the pecking order than ever before. All the talk of training him for Xhaka's role seems like shit talk now, given that the Swiss muppet has slung his hook and ESR is no closer to first team action.

I am truly getting pissed off with all these loans though, and will be especially so if a young English talent is loaned out. Mount goes for 55m+ and we have a better prospect with ESR.

At least if we're going to sell him can we see some of this value that English players supposedly command in the market?

Luton’s proposed move for former Arsenal youth player Isaac Hayden has fallen through.

The Hatters are now thought to have turned their attention to a deal for Rob Holding.

Apparently ESR doesn’t want to go but is resigned to his fate.

Players included in the swap deal are Chalobah and Sarr. Lukaku is also an option.

He is and he has been, but the point is that he shouldn't be and shouldn't have been. We've an abundance of midfielders who get played in that forward role, but not one of them have been, or currently are, better than ESR. My opinion of course and others may prefer Xhaka, Viera, Jorginho and Havertz.

Not so much now.

This is the most galling thing of all. I'm not known for my optimism, but I was more excited by the prospect of this season than I have been for almost 20 years.

If someone had had told me at the end of last season that we'd keep the quality parts of this squad together and add £200m worth of talent (with a week of the window still open), I'd have believed that we could compete at all levels.

After the last 10 years of the Old Fraud's managed (hah! mismanaged) decline of the team and the decline of my passion for the club, which I wasn't at all sure could ever be properly re-ignited, last season actually saw all those feelings return. Joy, excitement, anger, disappointment...all the things that supporting your team is about. Yet now, three games in and I'm totally fucking deflated.

:coffeespit:

If that is remotely true that’s the biggest fucking insult.
