Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I see Cesc has taken to twitter...

"As a friend and team mate of mine for the last 8 years I want to wish good luck to @Persie_Official and his new adventure at Man United."

From one former Arsenal captain to another, I'm really not sure it's appropriate, but there you go.

Just seen the tit posing with old burst blood vessel nose in a Ubited shirt. Sickening but then I just come to the conclusion that it's a **** playing for a kutish team.

You boys can take the piss but I still can't believe he's gone to United. I genuinely never thought it would happen.

It would be even more sweet if he did it at the Emirates too.

And just to finish this thread off nicely here is what the Dutch player has to say..........................

And, finally, here's Robin van Persie's reasons for choosing Manchester United: "Everyone that knows me, knows I am a lover of football.

"It is always difficult to find the perfect match but I feel this is the perfect match. Manchester United breaths football. If you look at all the players from Manchester United, the stadium, the manager my choice was made very soon in my mind."

This is exactly the sort of thing we needed to fire us up.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if we went on to win the title this season. Wenger must be incredibly motivated to prove this judas wrong.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

ha ha

LOL LMAO

Brilliant. Absolutely superb!

I know what. Let's finish 19 points behind ManUre and then gift-wrap them the double PFA Player!
So let me see...the team that hasn't finished ahead of ManYoo for over seven years is all of a sudden going to leap from bottlers who cannot beat Brum in a cup final, to league champions!

Arsenal fans = the new Liverpool.

Poor baba must've been hating all the positivity flowing around, luckily van persie going has given him the chance to come back and do what he does best.
