Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool are set to do battle over the transfer of another player this summer in the shape of Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones.

Hope to god this aint true!!! Out of all the keepers this is one guy that has not been linked or spoke about!

Hi gooners i have heard arsenal have agreed a deal with a defender in the bundesliga its said to be Maik Franz of Frankfurt a 28 6ft 4 nutter.

Hes a very physical, dirty player but he did well for Frankfurt he got them to 10th and is nicknamed as Iron maik he scores goals as well.

Hes composed, has pace and could be a good back up for us.

I just know from mates in Germany hes an absoulte nut and is very passionate

What I'm hearing is thats Schwarzer may not be the first arrival. Looks like MS is happening fast but there might be another.

You cant compare us to Blackpool; this is a team that got into the premier league through the play off's which puts them a good month behind the other promoted teams in terms of preperation.

Whilst i would love to see a bit more money being spent (ok, a lot), as gooners we have to maintain a sense of reality when comparing us to other teams, i.e the blackpools, stokes, and wolves of this world are going to be struggling to survive, and money is the only gamble they can realy make on survival. that, and some of the dross other clubs splurge their proverbial wad all over just makes me want to weep with joy.

Obviously im excluding the waiter and flappy hands from the above, but thats a given realy
