Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Stapleton has that honour in my book as we got shafted on the transfer fee. But this is close. And won't stop me calling our former striker "Robin van Staplecunt"

With Ashley Cole it's difficult to argue that he made the wrong decision. And we agreed the deal that sent him to Stamford Bridge. He tore up his Arsenal history but has made more at Chelsea.
Back then the rivalry wasn't the same as it has been in the last decade with the mancs.

What Van Pervie has done is the ultimate betrayal.

Break a leg you Dutch qunt. Or better yet, let Frimpong do it.
Frimpong may have just seen a slight window of opportunity open with RvP's departure.

From one former Arsenal captain to another, I'm really not sure it's appropriate, but there you go.
Tries to distance himself a bit from outright wishing United good fortune but to be honest he'd have been better off saying nothing. Don't hold any animosity towards Fabregas and I believe that unlike 95% of players that have passed through in the last 8 years or so he actually cares about the club, so I don't expect him to suddenly hate somebody who is clearly a friend, especially given that he's not an AFC player any more. Would have been better off keeping his mouth shut and sending him a text though, did he really need to tweet about it?

Time to stop worrying about ex-players anyway, it's the ones that are at the club now that matter.

Ryan Giggs has said that he will "treat Van Persie like a brother".

He had met Mr and Mrs Van Persie earlier in the day.

RvP stood next to whiskey nose holding a Utd shirt is a sickening sight, no mistake.

At the next meeting with Wenger/Gazidis/PHW will anybody stand up and have the bollocks to ask why our top players no longer have faith in the direction this club is going?

Fuck, even our horribly mediocre players (Song) are getting better offers elsewhere. Even a move to Swansea was preferable to Kyle Bartley rather than staying to work with the fabled "professor of young football talent". This club is fucking rotten to the core. Strip the lot of em out & let's start again. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

If Barca are stupid enough to pay nearly £20m for Song, brilliant. You will never find me complaining about being paid huge amounts to sell average players. I'm sure we would have told them to fuck off had it been a genuine key player. As for Bartley, he was shipped out because he's clearly shown he's not good enough for AFC in his loan spells with Rangers and stints training with the first team, hardly like he's refused a first-team place to join Swansea is it? If you want something to moan about there's plenty there already without reading too much into these two transfers.

Why the fuck is Afobe wishing RvP good luck at United and then asking why a friend can't wish another friend good luck in whatever decision they make? Is he a fucking moron? He can do whatever the fuck he wants by text but how any AFC player can voluntarily come out and wish him well at United is beyond me. Good decision to ship him off to Bolton for the year whilst the big boys play for AFC.

Can we forget this and move on please. No need wasting energy being bitter. Hating people is like burning down your house to kill a rat. He is gone and signed for those glory hunters. I would love to call him a cant, but he lacks the depth and the charm. So here we are.......lets support the ones we've got and hope for the best.

Apparently Jack's praised the 'real' club legends that have worn the no 10 shirt.

Nice one Jack but let that be the end of it. Don't even want to boo the traitor, but will happily cheer when he snaps his cruciates/legs/anything else.

Arsenal Till I Die wrote:Seriously, what's done is done. Van Persie is now one of the biggest *word censor*'s in Arsenal's history but we can't dwell on that.

Now they have a granny shagger and a xxxxxxxxxxxx leading their front line. We have a nutcase *Podolski* and a giant *Giroud*

MODS NOTE: Leave it out! That sort of thing can get us shut down.
That's bollocks. Every other git has been saying it on this forum so why not edit their posts?

Utter bollocks.

Seeing a bunch of Arsenal 'fans' on here wishing RVP 'snaps a cruciate' and 'gets injured' - this from the same group of wishy-washy ballerinas who whinged and cried blue murder when Ramsey and Eduardo were snapped (rightly so as both challenges were sickening), is really showing what a classless and feckless bunch nouveau Arsenal fans are.

Instead of directing your ire at the people who truly deserve nothing but ill fortune - notably Wenger for agreeing the sale and not surrounding RVP with quality, and Kroenke/Gazidis for asset stripping the club...as usual our foolish fans show themselves up.

FACT remains that RVP is the 8th highest goalscorer in our history and without him, you'd all be spunking your silly ST money to go and watch a Europa League clash in some Eastern Euroean backwater. He scored 40% of our goals last year playing behind half-wits like Song and Ramsey. And our classless 'fans' wish him an injury?

I thought the Spuds had a pathetic inanimate bunch of imbeciles supporting them when they sang all those Sol Campbell songs, and refused to move on and accept Sol was joining a bigger club in Arsenal. Seeing the reaction to RVP though, it appears in every other facet (small time club, wins nothing, brags about 'wonderful football, feeder club to the big boys, clueless manager and deluded fan-base with nothing to cling to so hate on ex-players)...

In every aspect Arsenal fans are showing themselves up with the abuse to RVP's wife etc....as being the new Spuds.
Well done.
