Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The thing with Wenger is no matter the players available he always tries to shoehorn them into the same old tired formation. No matter what team the opposition is we play the same way in the same formation and it makes it incredibly easy for the other manager to attempt to negate us, as soon as the other manager sees the team sheet his eyes must light up.
You don't need 30 years in football to put together a plan against us, maybe just 30 mins

When Wenger has choices, he'll go back to type and it'll be groundhog day all over again.
He's proved it season after season, with different groups of players, but managed to produce exactly the same mistakes.
Maybe with another manager it'll be better, maybe worse. But I think he's had his time and is now just feeding his own needs. Great to be in the FA Cup final again but even Wenger and the club are setting the agenda and the FA Cup is well below our level.
Must say that it's a great way to send the natives of happy in to the summer and in to their shiny new club shirts for the following seasons Prestigious Emirates Cup matches.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Had we had anywhere near as good a first half of the league season as last year no way would we have put together this run of form come Feb, March, April.
Likewise had we started as poorly last year as we have in (most) other recent seasons I don't believe we'd have suffered such a pronounced and prolonged dip in form until the eventual recovery to drag ourselves into 4th.
Cynical as fuck and no logic to it but I dare say most on here would agree.

Naaah mate - wenker would still have fucked it up by playing Suarez at CB or in goal!

But I reckon a conservative estimate would be that Suarez would get you an extra 12-15 points per season and look where that would have us. I always have this uneasy feeling in the back of my mind that we spunked away 40 odd million quid on Ozil.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Its crazy spending 40 million on a playmaker, especially when you have Giroud up front. Its not like Ozil can play a defensive splitting pass to Giroud when he has no pace.

Got that feeling as soon as we it was becoming obvious we were signing him back on transfer deadline day 2013. Just imagine how much better we would have been had we had gotten Suárez instead of the "best number 10 in the world" alongside Sánchez and Fabregas last summer. Probably would've been repeat league champions and challenged for the CL despite Wenger's ineptitude.rodders999 wrote:TrueOneBardGooner wrote:rodders999 wrote:If only we'd used all that wonga to sign Suarez instead of Ozil........where would we be now?

Quotes from our inglorious leader today.
"'The biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers. 'You can have incidents with other managers sometimes,' Wenger said.
'It gets a bit heated when you fight directly with them, but in the end I believe time heals and the important thing is to respect each other as much as you can.
'The biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers. Some people have to improve on that. Look, everybody lives with his own internal problems and I live with mine. That’s enough.
'Many, many, many times,' Wenger said. 'You know you have to control yourself and remain in control and polite and respectful. But of course sometimes you feel that people are not respectful of you.'
FUCKING HYPOCRITE.
How many times has he disappeared at the end of a game, without shaking hands with another manager? plenty I'd say.

Had AW signed him then he wouldn't have addressed other areas most likely. Also, no chance does Sanchez also join - too similar.
More to the point, there is no way Suarez woulda been satisfied with the usual CL mediocrity and he woulda jumped after a year, he'd have done any dirty thing to force it through too.
Suarez is a phenomenal player and that retarded £40m + £1 is yet another outrageous stick to beat Wenker with (he's on record saying he sanctioned it). Total farce.
Anyway Barca woulda pinched Suarez off us ASAP so..,

Hold on...is this the same manager that refused to shake the hands of both the Anderlecht and Monaco managers? And the same one who did gay disgraceful interview with Jacqui Oatley? And the same one who physically confronted Jose by shoving him?Top Londoner wrote:Quotes from our inglorious leader today.

Guy is a total retard. Almost as funny as his "if we hadn't had injuries we'd have competed for the league". When's that nugget from then, 2007?

He should thank his lucky stars for injuries as without them the idiot wouldn't have realised Coquelib should be sitting in front of the back 4!
