@thegoonblog seems to think the Schwarzer deal will be confirmed imminently but there could be anoter player announced before him.

I basically got accused of it earlier but when papers and bloggers start to report it, everyone loves it.

Well we have been linked to so many players recently it could be anyone but this Frans guy looks aggressive! I love it! And yeah I heard Mannone out on loan too. Do you think that could mean shezzer as no.2? Or will he sit in reserves?

like this via hughes.

would rather sell schwarzer to the devil wouldnt he. i am presuming this situation will only change if one of hart/given doesnt play and forces a move. what i do know is we are stuck with either fabianski or almunia. i bet to spite us wenger will move almunia on and give us flappy as number 1.

Man this fucks me off - Were talking about Arsenal one of the biggest clubs in the fucking world, who cant buy a 38 year old journey man from a small team when the player has handed in a transfer request.
What have we become when were wanting a transfer of this kind anyway.I would be really with MS but seriously is he Arsenal Qulaity of past years? Right now he is to good for us, and thats simple.

Silvestre 750k . Campbell free and Chamakh free. That tells you what we have become.A club that will only sign players who are cheap. If he really wants Schwarzer and Fulham want £4m fucking pay it.How bad is it when one of the biggest clubs in the world is haggling over a couple of million.Remember last summer we got £41m from Citeh for Greedy and Toure.

Not to mention Alonso who we let slip by for the sake of less than a mill.

Bet there wasn't any haggling over Wenger's contract today.

The board…. Hello Arsene let me start by saying well done for working so hard this summer with your pleasant interviews and funny quotes you keep coming out with. Let us also say how well you’ve done working with the French pundits during the world cup, you did the fans at Arsenal proud.

Arsene…. Thank you very much, did you know were a team for the future and Denilson is back from injury soon.

The Board…. Who is Denilson?

Arsene… he is one of our star Midfielders

The Board… Oh

The Board… Anyway down to business. Before you sign this contract you have a choice. You either go with a ridiculously high wage and bonus scheme just for you for getting 3rd or 4th spot or we will allow you to have that 45mil we spoke about for new proven players.

Arsene…. Ohhh We have a team for the future, if its okay I will take the money for myself.

The Board…. Yes that’s fine speak to you next season.

Alternatively:

The Board: Who have we nearly bought this year Arsene?

Arsene: Spahic, Marchetti, Stekelenberg, Tasci, Ozil, Schwarer, Merteseker, Cole, Gourcuff, Cahill, Jagielka, Taylor, Arteta, Buffoon and I enquired about Messi. But none of them are better than we already have.

The Board: Excellent, keep up the good work.
