If we got say, 20m for Nelson and 30m for Eddie, which in today's insane market isn't beyond the realms of possibility, then 50 mill in the bank where once we would have got sweet fuck all for the likes of - Sanchez, Ramsey, Lacazette will show at the very least the era of gross mismanagement of outgoings is finally being addressed.
That theory falls down the minute palace pick up the phone and ask about buying nketieh and are told to piss off cos he aint for sale

I championed him on here when he was a watford player and we were linked with him - sometimes I think he can be a bit greedy, but he does work hard and would score more goals than jesus or nketieh

You could say the same for Shep the Blue Peter dog.augie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 5:52 pmNatural Born Gooner wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 4:37 pmShould be all over that Joao Pedro from Brighton. Offer them Nkeitieh and cash!!

Yes, but Chep was more intelligent, he could move quicker and he could also round up a flock of sheep in no time; something Nketiah & Jesus could never do.... AND he was Cheaper!Midz wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:23 pmYou could say the same for Shep the Blue Peter dog.augie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 5:52 pmNatural Born Gooner wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 4:37 pmShould be all over that Joao Pedro from Brighton. Shocked we didn't add to our long list of ex Chelski duds and try to get Timo Werner.
Is Robert Fleck still available?

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
i Have said it before and I will say it again, if Smith-Rowe doesnt leave this month it is because either the player himself is refusing to go, OR (more likely) that someone above el basque is blocking his exit, cos there is no way that anyone can convince me that diet pep wants or rates smith-rowe - I think the people running the club are well aware that smith-rowe is popular with the fanbase, and it is for that reason that I think they wont sanction his sale, but I think el basque would sell him in a heartbeat

Mikel Arteta on signing a striker this month:
"At the moment it doesn't look realistic. My job is to improve the players we have."

Arteta asked about signing a striker:
"What I ask the supporters is they stay behind the team."

He’s also sorry that Kai Havertz didn’t cost £65 million…..oh, hang on….
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I think Arteta would love to buy a striker...... You know, someone like Raheem Sterling......
Seriously though, we don't have a pot to piss in at the moment so it's impossible to buy without selling and it's crazy to consider selling three squad players to buy a mediocre striker who may be available. Our squad is weak enough as it is.
He ain't selling his boyfriend Havertz, he wants crazy money for Eddie even though he won't play him much and he wants to let ESR rot completely on the bench (ESR must have seen Arteta balls deep in Havertz's arse at some stage).
Arteta's says we need a reset...... The team don't, it's Arteta who needs the reset, his judgement of players is way way wide of the mark, badly,
and until that is addressed we are not winning anything.
