The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The enquiry was unfortunately "will you sell him for a bag of peanuts?".

Unfortunately when good players become available too often Wenger presumes that the club needs to sell them at a cut-price. If we are genuinely interested in Sanchez, Wenger will think they obviously don't want to keep him therefore we should be able to pick him up on the cheap. Whereas the reality is with very good players there will always be someone who will pay a fair price in almost any circumstances.

It would be the same with Balotelli if we're interested - Milan signed him for 20m euros, so if it's clear they want to sell Wenger will think a bid of about £12m would be fair.

WHAT? Seriously we have some wackos on this forum. It was only a month ago we were complaining BECAUSE we were linked with Vela. Now that we are not and are getting 12m for what is in essence free you complain?

So many over emotional idiots on this board.

Please be true. Hopefully Screwy Lewy will be banned all competitions and that clears the way to Sanchez, who is a hell of a player. He is just what we need- he is fast and amazing. Can play on the wings or as CF.

I think if we sign Serge Aurier he would be used more as a future replacement for Per or Kos and cover for right back. Considering that Carl Jenkinson is on five year deal.

Come on now, moving targets is just stalling for time.

Ballotelli is free to sign now, target moved so a new saga can drag on, this is Higuain and Suarez all over again.

Come 10th July, apparently Super Mario will be wearing the new Puma red and white

Alternatively we wouldn't even by able to sign his brother Luigi by the 31st August
