If we lose ESR solely because we can’t afford to keep him due to FFP, having spunked £105m on Kai and Vieira, two useless cünts who play in ESR’s best position, I’ll be fucking fuming!
I've wondered whether ESR could play alongside Rice. Could he be any worse than the garbage usually inflicted on us

Let's be honest, if Captain Black is happy to play Xhaka, Viera and Havertz ( :banghead: ) in an advanced midfield position ahead of ESR, then it's plain that he doesn't fancy him. ESR blindfolded and with his legs strapped together would be an improvement on any of those three.

DB might not like it, but I've been saying for 2 years that the boy needs to move to save his career. As Augie says, El Basque is going nowhere soon, regardless of what happens in the next 18 months and ESR's career is seriously on the cusp of being ruined. He'll be 24 in the summer and has played hardly any first team football in real terms. His development must be a good couple of years behind where he should be.

I'm all for club before player, but not when an idiot manager, who plays favourites, is destroying the career of a homegrown talent who could play at the very top level in my opinion. He was performing brilliantly in those first couple of seasons when he broke through and yes, he was injury prone, but he's never been a natural choice when fit again. I could more easily accept that if it wasn't a column of total incompetent oafs that were picked ahead of him.

For me, he was possibly the pick of our 3 young stars, although I'd have had trouble separating him and Martinelli. As highly as I rate Saka, i always had the other two ahead of him. Anyway, I've been saying it for 18 months, but ESR needs to demand a move and I'd wish him all the luck. Sorry DB. 8)

I would much rather we kept hold of ESR and got shot of Arteta and let him take Havertz and Vieira and Kiwior and Raya and Zinchenko with him.

It would be fucking typical if ESR was sold and then they get shot of Arteta. :banghead: :tickedoff:

Legohead is gonna be here for quite some time I'm afraid OB. He might not have The Old Fraud's level of credit in the bank, but the Kroenkes will stand by him if he gets a CL place (top 4 or 5). I can't see the current top 5 not finishing as the top 5, so we are likely to get CL football simply by dint of not being as crap as the teams in the next tier in the league....which is pretty crap.

I maintain that if the old French Fucker hadn't dropped out of the CL, he'd still be stinking the place out at the Emirates, so as long as El Basque can manage that, I suspect he's safe. It's a grim fucking notion, but I fear it's true.

Grim

Anyway come summer and we will surely finally sign striker but an I the only one with reservations on Ivan toney?

Yes he's far better than what we have, but it's a low bar.

He's a decent pl striker, not really much more than that in my view. He's not frightening in his own as some strikers are, so I'm not so sure what all the fuss is about he reminds me of laca, albeit probably not hanging out thr back of our cowardly captain.

Yes he could kick on at a bigger club as IWWW did but for the figures quoted it's a concern.

I appreciate there are not many top class strikers about these days though.

Based on previous we will flig Eddie (hooray) and then sign Jackson from chavs for 80m!!

Rumours doing the rounds that the chavs are closing in on signing Benzema - I know DB10 is against signing him on basis of age and wage packet, but for me if it is a straight choice between signing this guy on a short term deal or playing rest of the season with the strikers we already have, then it is a no brainer to sign him

36 years old, and on phenomenal wages. No thank you! I would rather save our money for someone in the summer, than waste it on him for six months.

I’m happy for the chavs to continue spending big money on over the hill centre forwards, like they did with Schevchenko, Crespo, and a few others over the years
