How do I convince my wife that the £7K+ is "an investment"?

Okay... Maybe sell it like this:

£7k now will be worth at least Ten Times that by time the kids come out of Uni etc Are getting married and are looking to put a deposit down on their first gaff !
Besides which this is a very rare "Limited Edition" that will easily more than hold its value, in fact it will outstrip the Rate of Inflation by at least 20% - 30%... I know it may seem like a lot now, but the benefits for our children and of course our Grandchildren cannot be measured by today's paltry amount of a mere few Grand!
