Shit-field United back up, fairytale stuffSteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 1:35 pmAnyone seen Rodders today?
Thinking of him tugging himself bandy over the Play Off Final. Everyone at Sky wetting themselves over the world's "richest game"
I mean who can wait to see whether it will be Sheffield United or Sunderland relegated by Easter with under 20 points next season eh

Re: Other Matches Thread
The sad fact being that Sunderland look worse than fucking Southampton! Honestly what's the point of these mongs coming up and wasting everyone's timerodders999 wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 2:45 pmShit-field United back up, fairytale stuffSteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 1:35 pmAnyone seen Rodders today?

Re: Other Matches Thread
I read the other day that this season is almost certainly going to break the record for the lowest combined points total of any three relegated teams in a 38-match Premier League season. The previous record was set last season. A pathetic 66 points between the three last year and this year, it's a fucking horrendous 59.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 2:50 pmThe sad fact being that Sunderland look worse than fucking Southampton! Re: Other Matches Thread
Premier League should reduce to 18 clubs along with 2 up/2 down. That should see Scum out in the not too distant future. Ridiculous that Scum and United could get away with doing nothing in league this season, saving themselves for Europe.

They do

However if Sheffield United go up then I make them certainties for relegation.
If Sunderland go up then funnily enough I think they would stay up as they have a young team which would only get better. Huge potential with their fan base too.
Apparently last night in London there were more Sunderland fans out than Spurs celebrating their trophy win

Need to drop the promotion numbers to 2 automatic and a relegation play off between the winner of the Championship play off and 3rd bottom in the Prem.

Re: Other Matches Thread
In terms of creating a consistently competitive standard, then 18 teams with two up and two down is the only real option. However, there is no way the teams will ever vote for it, as it means that there'll lose revenue from two home games and broadcasting deals would be smaller as a result of fewer matches. And that's all that matters. Having said that, in theory, I reckon every team from 7th down would vote in favour of it, based solely on the fact that it makes relegation less likely.

Blimey, hadn’t realised that. Three teams with an average of 20 points each (I’m gifting each one 1/3 of a point

Look at the teams promoted in recent years - Forest, Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford. All now established PL teams
