EVERTON THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Could see Cahill scoring a mile away. Just had to happen.

Very thankful to RVP for his bit of brilliance in the end.

Its a very sad day when the majority of Arsenal's starting midfield look as if they'd struggle to get into Everton's squad let alone starting XI.

I'm with you. We need people to wake up to how precarious things are. There is a good chance we won't even qualify for UEFA and dare I say it might even be bottom half. Everton are a better team than we are at the moment. We did not deserve the draw.

We have to win the FA Cup to guarantee anything.

RVPs goal was class.
i was thinking about the lose as well it would serve us better cause maybe wenger would stop being so fucking stubborn :banghead:

Maybe a defeat was effectivly the best solution for us. But as I said before Van the Man gave me a little ray of hope. Hope that this Arsenal team can barely still hold its head out of the water. Please at least secure a 4rth spot. I'm not asking for any cup, or any trophies, just a ticket for CL. Or we'll never be able to hold on our few good players... :?

Come on guys we all know Wenger wont buy,
he'll just keep churning out the same old flannel
about the squad being strong in believe and desire
blah,blah,blah.
Wenger has lost the plot completely,he built the
greatest Arsenal side ever and tore it apart without
really thinking about it.
And now what, does he continue to go with this no buying
policy? Or does he bite the bullet and bring in the quality
that we so badly need?
I know what I'd like him to do.

arsene is scared to buy big, because in his head he has failed to "nurture" the kids! but how can the man who built the invincibles think that eboue, song, denilson and big nick are good enough for this team?! ramsay and wiltshire have more tallent in there big toes than those four muppets put together, we are in serious trouble if we miss out on cl, the debt will not be serviceable without that income

At half time tonight I read all the comments on here and I said to myself "fuck it I am not going to drag my arse on the road at the crack of dawn sat morn to travel over to watch this shit before arriving back home knackered at closing time sat night" It isnt that I only want to support a winning team or that I am a jcl but I am pissed off giving these *word censored* my hard earned money without seeing any of it invested where it needs to be. I am pissed off listening to pure and utter bullshit from a manager that thinks that his past successes should allow him to throw those unbelieveably ridiculous comments at us and the football media

Right now I see before me a manager who does not appear to have any ambition driving him on anymore :( I see before me a team whose appetite seems to be financial based rather than team glory and the players who are being paid above their qualifications clearly dont see the need to win those trophies while they are already being handsomely rewarded  I see before me a club that appears to have totally lost its focus on how a football club should behave - housing developments and regenerating the local community appears to have captured their attention now and the only time they focus on the club matters is when they decide to have another in house arguement and sack another director  We can all see a club whose sole ambition appears to be to scrape by spending as little as possible on buying players as long as we stay in europe  Right now these people are taking a massive gamble with our club - fail to invest now and watch our bid to finish top 4 go up in smoke and watch the £30m-£40m that goes with it flush down the crapper. People talk about how a lean patch might be good for us in that it might rid us of our "newer fans" but it might also rid us of our old fcuking board and in my mind that would be a much better result :x :x :x

I should also point out that I am going to travel over to the match sat and deep down I knew I always would  You could argue that some of the reason is that I have already paid the club for my ticket so my non attendance wouldnt really hit them financially ( ) but I also look at players like cesc (inj I know),rvp, sagna, clichy, kolo(why was he fcuking dropped again tonight for that *word censored* gallas ?),djouru, plus the kids vela, wilshire and ramsey and these are players that I want to get behind and let them know that I support them :barscarf: As for the rest of the *word censored*.........draw your own conclusions to that  :x :banghead: :banghead:

seriously if you were everton tonight and saw song and eboue our team sheet you would be pissing yourself, wenger has lost the plot, and this endless bulshit of pride passion and commitment in his post game rambles is becoming to much, i love arsene for everything he has done for us, but stop running the club as a business, thats the old farts job in the board room (another issue but dont get me started) the window is open for 1 more week, what ever the bid is from athletico madrid for eboue take it, im sure most fans would even drive him to the airport, hell i would take him all the way to his medical, just to make sure he goes. arshavin is not the answer, an expensive mistake i fear

always there was some hope or heart now they are just overpaid *word censored* wo dont deserve my money, the board are a bunch of lying bastards who got greedy trying to be property developers.

i would rather watch non league than see eboooooooooue and denilson and others in my beloved shirt.

AND AS MUCH AS I DISAGREE WITH IT I WILL BOOOO THOSE BASTARDS IF THEY LOSE TO WHAM ON SAT
