This is every sodding big game, 2004 semis, 2007 CC final and now today. Wenger needs to explain this selection as it's perhaps cost us a final place and a chance at a trophy.

let's look at the positives.

Theo scored again and Gibbs did well.

let's look at the negatives.

Fabianski is fucking shit and he'll be in goal for our next 5 games +.

gutted, totally gutted.

but i feel sorry for fabianski, he's a rookie goalkeeper who made a couple of mistakes. still, drogba would have scored the 2nd anyway, he had the beating of silvestre.

don't lets get too down, its a dissapointing defeat yes - but still got a lot to play for in the champions league - and we CAN beat Man Utd. It's not all over.

I can understand Wenger's selection, even if I wouldnt have done the same. Let's just hope we can put this behind us on Tuesday!

The minute u try to match a side like we tried today there is only going to be one winner, u give up ur strengths to play the strengths of ur opposition and this is what happens.. If he was going to play RVP on the left why not Nasri or Arshavin. IMO we lost the match as soon the whistle went.. I told my friend the same thing.. Wenger talks bs in his press conferences and does something else, if his intention was to suprise Hiddink then he failed, painful to watch Denilson,Diaby,Fabregas give the ball away regularly… If he was trying a repeat of the robbery of 2005 he certainly dint succeed.. U buy players for wide positions and u play Little Boy Denilson :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: on the pretext of adding muscle baffles me, i cried with that kid who they showed crying after the match for me this is one gaffe to many by Wenger...Horrible tactics and if ur manager is negative in his approach it rubs on the team and it showed today.. The defensive line was at the 5 yard box even at 35 mins in the first half.. I cant say anymore because ill throw my keyboard on the monitor..

what was on wengers mind
i think we can say goodbye to ade at then end of season, he did not look happy at being taken off did he
:banghead: :banghead:

nobody slags eboue off more than me, but you can't blame him for this shambles.
you have to blame arsene. if 8 million people could see diaby and denilson were ***** from the first minute, why couldn't he?
diaby never made a pass all game and denilson. well i don't have to say anything.
all that shit about the unbeaten run. as soon as we meet a half decent team we are fkkkd. manure will be rubbing their dicks in anticipation.
we looked what we are a 4th placed team.
what was toure doing for the second goal. all they had to do was play a long ball and we were fkkd. fancy leaving the slowest player on the pitch to mark dogbreath.
toure is crap.

best post on here and spot on. we tried to match them and their formation because wenger has no faith in playing our own game against chelsea. problem is, they have 3 better midfielders than us sooo....TERRRIBLE FUCKING DECISION FUCK TWAT WENGER

The likes of Diaby.Denilson and Eboue can get away with it against poor premiership teams but play them against anyone half decent and they are found out.Unless they are sold and replaced next season expect the same again.4th place and no better

The official game thread seems the best place to try and sum some shit up seeing as there are so many threads flapping (Fabianski-ing) around right now.

Why aren't the mods on line right now doing what needs to be done? Oh yes they may be slating Wenger for his contribution today but allowing duplicate threads and the lot to multiply is surely against the mod bible?

IHH what's all that about.  I'd nuke some of the threads popping up right now. 8)

For me the initial trouble today was the line up. But I'm sure after 18 minutes no one else like me gave a fuck.

As much as I'm not huge fan, I'm shocked as fuck to see Denilson getting it on here. He was, apart from Toure, our best player today. He is limited but for all his drawbacks he played as good as I would have hoped he could.

It's the rest who fucked up.

Wenger for sure. After 35 minutes it was plain Diaby couldn't cut it. I was most surprised that he played all 90 mins, not that RvP got subbed, not that Ade left for Bendts or Denilson for Nasri, but how Diaby managed to get all 90 mins out of the game.

Fabianski, yes poor. I expected nothing better. You would have thought his most experienced defender would have done the same. The winner was not GK's fault. Silvestre was to blame for that. He stopped running as soon as Fab came off his line, what was he waiting for? I bet in the Red of Man Ure he'd have taken a red card.

Mainly I'm so shocked that Wenger thought he could rely on a solid defensive performance to get us out of this. Hell, I wouldn't trust Clichy, Sagna, Toure, Gallas and Almunia to clean sheet us to victory and they are our best 5 right now.

Summing up I'd rather have lost 5-0 going all out for the win than to suffer 90 minutes of what I just saw. Fair enough Chelsea might have gone for that but we are better than them. In every single way.

Gooners. 8)
