I hadn't seen the BBC series of State of Play , so maybe that's why I enjoyed the film so much.
Looking forward to District 9 , too!

Saw District 9 and Sin Nombre - one after the other
District 9 was certainly original but I wouldn't quite rate it alongside Planet of The Apes and Minority Report in Sci Fi terms. Four starts out of five.
Sin Nombre was far from fiction. All too real in some senses. Blood splattered and a pretty grim viw of the human race; it was compelling and that fact that it's subtitled, takes nothing away.

Watched 2 films in the last few days...
Both might be a little slow if you're more into your action films, but for those who like independent films with a big heart... these are pretty good

Sunshine Cleaning - a nice comedy/drama feel good movie
