That can't be right, can it? That is indeed MENTAL.
5years at 170k a week = 44.2 million
that leaves 25.8 million for transfer fee , agent fee , signing on bonus

according to the Mail a fee of 25 million has been agreed and Adebayor already had a medical today: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... l?ITO=1490
Ah well. It's done it seems.
What can you say. Are we better off for it? Time will tell.
I'm still scared that it was a mistake

i'm with you. but the point is, in february that year our best striker had his leg hammered (again, eduardo is not injury prone) and our very young team was not experienced enough to turn that around.Lethal wrote:personally im delighted that we can have a fully commited squad and lets hope for a start similar to the 07/08 season
everyone wrote us off,we lost a big striker and we proved em wrong(well till february anyway)
i believe in this squad, and i think this is the year of edu9, rvp and AA

If this cash isn't invested in a player(s) then it will be a nail in our coffin and wengers, and will spell the end of our right to be considered a "big" club. Love or hate him (and make no mistake I despised him) Ade was the best striker at the club and one of the top 3 or 4 in the prem lge when at his best.
His antics last summer and our reaction to them, made his position at the Arse untenable and go some way to explaining his performances last season. We should have taken the money last season and moved on, however we are now a considerably weaker squad for his departure.
All eyes must now be on Wengers next move.
