Did ronaldo not do something similar, and then was off in the summer. Rooney can sign all the deals he wants, but Fergie will have his day.

fergie must have dug out a picture of him clattering some poor old granny and threatened to release it to the gutter press. Thats the only reason I can think he had such a massive U-Turn.

Bizarre turn of events, can't work this one out. Especially after he came out numerous times & has said that the club couldn't provide the assurances he was after :?

Like someone else mentioned, it looks like it could just be a move to ensure Utd get some kind of income for him when he does go...

The only "Education" Rooney has been convinced by is an extra £50,000 a week.
By my calculations that's another 2.5 million loss each year as they collapse towards even greater financial problems.

I reckon a crafty deal has been brokered.

The club gets more money for Rooney when he fucks of next season.

They pay Rooney some of that extra profit in this year's wages.
