Probably the only reason he wants to sign, so he can be reunited with our very own court jesteraugie wrote:Rocky Number Seven wrote:He used to be at Beveren, why didnt one of our brilliant scouts notice him when they were keeping tabs on Eboue....
Too busy laughing and joking with eboue I would think - you do know that eboue is a really funny guy dont you ?![]()

Hope he's the type that likes to run into the crowd.Boomer wrote:I was checking out some youtube clips (yes I know) but I wanted a basic few of him.
Anyway two of the things I noted were:
1) He's squad number is/was 27!![]()

2) He didn't dance!![]()
(Appears to usually celebrate by running with his arms out at shoulder lenght, and often into the crowd.)

Yeah, don't get why it's a bookable offence though, ridiculous rule.Boomer wrote:I also like those types.1989 wrote:Hope he's the type that likes to run into the crowd.Boomer wrote:I was checking out some youtube clips (yes I know) but I wanted a basic few of him.

Our current options are Bendtner, Chamakh, Vela and Walcott to back up van Persie, Gervinho wouldn't have to do too much to win the doubters over.
I shall be giving him a go, the fact that we are prepared 12m for him which is close to our record spend tells you that he is rated a little bit higher then Chamakh who he refused to pay for.

I know he can play up front but he's an attacking midfielder.Gunnersaurus wrote:Our current options are Bendtner, Chamakh, Vela and Walcott to back up van Persie, Gervinho wouldn't have to do too much to win the doubters over.

I doubt he will play anywhere other then as one of the front 3.
If he comes I see him as a direct threat to Walcott and Arshavin, those two are not up to scratch so he might surprise us.
His true test will be when van Persie gets injured, will he be good enough to carry the fight then?
That's the biggest worry, either side of van Persie is not so worrying as the standard he is in competition with is not very high.

Can I suggest one word to you that might make you question that line of thought.......koscielney - the guy cost 10m which is only 2m less than this fee so is that a good indicator of this guys talent then ?
I'm sorry, but I cant get excited in the slightest about this guy. It tells you all you need to know when NEWCASTLE are after him, as well as the Liverpool of the past two years.
Apparently he'd prefer a move to us - I wonder why that is. Comfy champions league footie every year, thrashing some unknown Latvian club 6-0, losing 3-1 away to some two-bob Polish team, a nice contract worth 60 grand a week at least, no having to fight for his place, can laze about the pitch for the second half of the season, send every other chance he has wide, fuck off to the ACN at whatever point, have two shit years and one good half a season then try and engineer a move to another big european club, and the only way of interacting with the fans is to go on official and spout the same shit like "We must be more mature", "We can win the title this year", "We are growing as a team".
Signings like this happen every year with us, we had it with Koscielny, Chamakh and Squillaci last year, Silvestre the year before, Nasri in 2008, Bischoff in 2007, need I go on? Fuck Wenger
