Same old, same old 0-0.

Cazorla looks good but the rest of it looks no different to the past 7 years of frustration.

Cazorla and Gervinho aside, nothing to get optimistic about. No RVP, no goals. It may become a familiar saying this season. Sunderland are your very very average, defensive visitors to the Emirates and it will be a scene repeated many times this season and Arsenal will struggle to break many of them down. Let's hope that the other also rans have poor seasons as well to give us a chance of a top 4 place.

Where are all the fools that believe that wally walnut will be an important player for us this season ?
At this stage, offloading song, feo, diaby and the forehead will be only potential highlights :(

There were postives.....Per showed we have the best third choice CB n the league, Carzola, Jenkinson, Gervinho...even Arshavin looked motivated.

BUT.....the pre season...or lack of...has not helped and after a very bright opening 20 we faded massively. Walcott is a fucking joke,,,he needs to piss off now, he isnt good enough to play a the top level, never has been.

A draw first game is not a disaster, esp against a team who knew that sitting back was their only chance.....i dare say the next two weeks will be a true test.

I saw enough there to think we can have a good season...we shoot from distance now and the defence looked organised...this game came 2 weeks too soon....and unfortuately you have to blame the club for that, but im still excited about what we can do.

cazorla looks quality. we desperately need someone who can run with the ball (ie wilshere or ox) playing with him in the middle to help stretch the opposition and create space for him.
i like jenks but he really isn't fit to view sagna's boots through a glass window pane, let alone actually be allowed to lace them

We kept a clean sheet, and having Diaby back was like a new signing,Arshavin too !

a blow,
only a small detail but we got a corner in the 91st minute - it took us OVER 30 effing seconds to take it
then its headered out and no ball boy can get it back for an age
if you have no urgency in injury time you deserve nothing
pissed off
Cazorla less good 2nd half but the chance he created for Giroud is gilt-edged
their fullbacks are both convertedmids and I thought we could get at them - they were arguably their best players
(although they played as CB 3 and 4 rather than actual FB)

our fullbacks were both sorely disappointing going forward
Arshavin off the bench came on and gave them impetus with crap passes - wouldnt be surprised if we never see him in an Arsenal shirt again
didnt impact the result but how many (really unconvincing) Larsson dives did Foy buy?
for me our subs were massively over-conservative
why leave 4 back marking 1? I would rather we took both fullbacks off for Rambo and Giroud
They had zero defending to do 2nd half

felt sorry for Americans - watched an ESPN stream and Ian Darke is shockingly bad
