Reading Away Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Has the bottom of the table team ever come behind to win from 3 down :D

All jokes aside that was as good as we've played in a long while. Yes, Reading are shit but it just shows that when there is mobility in the form of the Ox and Walcott, as opposed to Dumb and Dumber (Chapman and Forehead), it causes problems.

Swap those players around 2 for 2 and it would still be 0-0

Walnut ?? Seriously ? The guy has done fcuk all and this is a game we are dominating ffs

I can't wait to read tomorrow night's Barclay's Account in the Evening Standard. He'll be so excited at the moment that the pages are likely to be stuck together

Have to say Gibbo has been fantastic this half. 2 assists and great crosses, plus very sound defensively. 8)

Movement, my friend, movement. Something that carthorse from Montpellier will never have. Are you saying you'd rather have Le Chapman and Forehead up front then?

Yes we're playing a shit team but we're playing well. Go for the jugular Arsenal, Reading look shattered.

Hmm... I think I'll stick my neck out and say Reading will get relegated this season  shocking peformance. It's more like a friendly. Have we ever had so much time and space in an away game? the crowd aren't contributing either; it's deathly quiet in there

Still, you can only beat what's in front of you, but I think it's fair to say Reading - based on this tripe - are bottom for a reason!

Hopefully we can rack up a cricket score as it'll do us the world of good!

PS - the gooners are enjoying themselves and are in full voice 8) ; lets hope some mindless idiots don't spoil it with a certain song about Mr Know's... :o

I'm sorry but I agree with Steve O, Giroud is absolute *****, the slowest footballer I have ever seen, is rubbish with the ball at his feet and has a terrible football brain.

If we beat Barca 6-0 with Walcott and Diaby hat-tricks you'd claim it would be because Barca weren't interested

I ask again - would you rather have the French donkey up front today. All I said was that the movement of the front players was making the key difference.

agree with much of what has been said already on here (apart from the Giroud bashing, which is like criticising TH14 for being bad in the air...), but Steve Claridge sums it up well too on BBC Text :
"Arsenal's second goal - that's what I've been talking about. When you've got wide players get them wide and then the midfielders can get into the box.
hopefully the 'experiment' with playing wide players in the middle and strikers out wide is dead.

i fear not.
