ASTON VILLA (H)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

As someone above said, jack santi and the full backs good. The rest pedestrian. Villa were shit, we used to have sides like that for breakfast.

Oh well, bring on the scum :barscarf:

Your nickname suits you well...
draw could have been enough to get wenger booted out
Maybe yes maybe not. Regardless of this, I want wenger out as anyone else on here, but I can't, for the life of me, understand how the immediate reaction to Arsenal FC scoring a goal could be disappointement. I was watching the game like you and my first reaction when he scored was "YES!!!! :barscarf: :barscarf: "

I have no problem with all the doom and gloom the rest of the time, as I share the concerns of my fellow gooners, but during a game? Slating one of our own and best players for scoring? Really?

Wenger: "I am not 30 years in this job at the top level and going to be destroyed by people saying I don't know what I'm doing."
You don't know what you're doing.

Going forward good defensively like Gibbs.Caught upfield so many times when we lost the ball in the first half

What would we be like without Jack.Head and shoulders ahead of any player on the pitch. Both Giroud and Feo absolute shite. But dont worry Feo has that £100k a week contract in his back pocket.Sczcesny beaten too easily again but his place is safe as we dont have any back up
And Villa are going down they were fucking shite

how could any GK be brought in to be backup, we should get an experienced GK who is looking to be no1.

Teams scoring on 1st or 2nd attempt is going back to the almunia days.

Did well to make relegation fodder look defensively decent and really explosive on the counter. About as unconvincing as wins come. We are hardly great at home but looking at our away games (Spurs, Swansea, West Brom, Fulham, QPR and Newcastle) I don't see us winning many of them because we're so fucking fragile.

Giroud picked up where he left off against Blackburn and has actually got me wishing we had Bendtner up top instead. I'm sick and tired of Szczesny playing like a twat, he's making mistakes that are often costing us goals every single game. It's a fucking travesty that he can't be dropped because Wenger didn't want to harm him by giving him some competition. If he wants the number 1 jersey he should have to earn it, not be given it unconditionally.

I posted on Twitter, how ironic that we wouldn't take Stekelenburg because it would "kill" Mannone & yet now Mannone wants out anyway. Arsene logic right there...

No one is saying Mannone is good augie.Szczesny should be back up to a quality keeper. But it woul kill Szczesny's career if we brought in a good keeper.

I agree. But Wenger's justification for not taking Stekelenburg in January, who he was offered, was that it would "kill" Mannone. Yet even without Stekelenburg here to pressure him, Mannone wants to leave in the summer anyway. Flawed logic yet again from Our Glorious Leader.
