sp*rs (a) match thread
Re: sp*rs (a) match thread
Oh there will be players who won't give their all OBG mate. Of that you can be certain.
At least Jack will give 100%.

I'm feeling numb right now. For the first time for a very long time the Scum have a better squad than we do. The straw I am clinging onto is that Adebarndoor is their only available striker.

If they score the first goal then they'll destroy us on the counter, if we can score first we might be good for a point.

I feel sick- this is the crossroads for the rest of the season. Lose and we hand the initiative to those bastards but win and we can ride the crest of the wave and possibly even finish 3rd.
Today is that important in my opinion.

Cannot believe how many manure and victims fans over here are predicting us to win this game
First NLD that I have really dreaded - I have been nervous before these games before, especially the ones I am attending, but this game has filled me with a real sense of fear. If I felt confident about our backbone and spirit then I would be confident that we can get a positive result cos man for man we have a better team than them, but we cannot hide from the fact that we have crumbled in atmospheres like this in the past
We can be sure that as much as we are talking about the need to kick monkey face, then they will be talking about their need to kick wilshire off the park.
Not starting podolski today would be a disaster imo if wenker makes that decision - the guy is a natural striker and our best and most consistent option for goals

I'm already hoping we can get through half time 0-0. I know this side of ours is capable of giving them a right fucking beating, but we're such a mentally weak and temperamental unit

You can guarantee Wenker will start him on the bench.......and we all know he'll be on come the 70th minute. Sameold, same old!Not starting podolski today would be a disaster imo if wenker makes that decision - the guy is a natural striker and our best and most consistent option for goals

Re: sp*rs (a) match thread
We've only won 3 out of Wenger's 16 league games at WHL - bearing in mind that for most of that time Spurs have been also-rans and we have either been title challengers or top 4 at the least. Not to mention that we had very strong sides in 1998 and 2008 and they did their best to get relegated those years. Now their side is probably the strongest it's been (other than last year) and ours is the weakest it's been, plus Bale playing out of his skin.
Not confident at all.

So that would be last week then.N1Goon wrote:Feel like the stars have aligned somewhat for Spurs in the recent weeks, they've just been getting all the luck, all their last minute shots are going in, all the one on ones with their keeper are getting saved (etc).
I dreamt that we won last night, however, and I have not dreamed about football since I was a wee lad.

Im always nervous before these games as they can go either way, there isnt much between the sides thesedays.Today i feel different though, visit to Old Traffart different,im still nervous but dont expect to get much
I fear if they go a goal up earlydoors our heads will drop and we might get a savage beating.
