They started with a high tempo that when in possession we aren't matching. Making this fooking easy for them YET AGAIN!!

Need to regroup and remember that they are as good as these c**ts.

Ches only made 2 saves despite them being much better than us first SB needs to get into them at half time. Up the f**king tempo and they will get back in in it. Play the same way and it'll be another 2-1,2-0 job.

They've not been good today either.

The goal was soft and other than that there's been very little from either side.

We look inhibited though. Too tentative and hardly a hint of expression at all. I expect that to change second half but a little disappointed up to now. I get that we're trying to stay tight (as against Dortmund) but with so much attacking talent, it a shame none of them have grabbed the game by the balls yet as United look ropey in midfield.

Also think Arteta and Flamini together makes us ultra cautious. We miss Ramsey's bursts from midfield.

Oh well, all to play for still :barscarf:

United put a lot of work into that half and while it is shit to concede from a set piece they haven't had many other chances. We're usually better second half, still a chance to get something from this game

if utd score again we are fucked,we haven't managed a shot yet let alone a goal,i can see us petering out pretty rapid second half as the game slips away.normal service is resumed

We need to send out some kind of a message in the second half. Don't let the house of cards crumble in now ffs!

Play the same way and there' no chance we'll get a goal!

We need to try and start taking the game to them in the 2nd half. don't want to get too gung-ho but playing far too cautiously just now-need to be more direct and attack with some pace-their midfield and defence is nothing special

First things first, despite the inevitable analysis to death of the goal it wasn't terrible defensively. Ramsey saw a few runners at the near post and stepped forward a yard or two to compensate, Giroud threw himself at the ball as best he could off a standing jump and Gibbs shouldn't have come inside but at the end of the day it's looped almost into the top corner. Great delivery, great run, great header and that's the danger of purely zonal marking without a few people covering runners.

In general terms, we've been dreadful. We've been scared to play and on the few occasions we've got anywhere near their box nobody has stepped forward to give an option and it's broken down. We were second best from the first whistle and we've been rattled by conceding from a set piece after we'd settled into the game. Not turning up for the first half and an unnecessarily negative approach, deja fucking vu. They've not even played well, our midfield should be pissing all over Phil Jones and Michael Carrick in the middle of the park but we've not moved the ball at pace once in the entire game so far.

First half was absolutely shit and the only difference to previous years is that they're not as good as they were.
